Superman & Lois: Broken Trust (2021)
Season 1, Episode 6
9/10
Easily the best episode far
19 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Let me start this off by saying I had some reservations going into this show as I grew up with Smallville and reading the comics and after watching Supergirl, I was not expecting much from the series. But wow, I'm so glad I was wrong.

I just can't believe this show has managed to go 6 for 6 and they absolutely knocked it out of the park with this episode. It had emotion, it had heart, it had great Lois scenes, Superman was fantastic and Tyler Hoechlin has just sealed it for me as the best live action Superman since Christopher Reeve. His scenes with his son, Jordan, were phenomenal, and Jon? Well he is just so humble and loveable. What a great kid. He's gunna pop like a wine bottle soon and I don't blame him lol

Spoilers: Had to drop a 1 from my overall score leaving a solid 9/10 because the CGI with Tag running at the beginning of the episode looked just a little jank imo but every other CGI scene was pretty fantastic. Especially the ending scene with Clark flying Jordan to the Fortress.

Justice League Unlimited (2004–2006)
10/10
The definitive Superhero/DC narrative outside of comics
29 January 2021
If someone asked me "I want to watch/know more about DC, where should I start?" or "Where can I watch Superman slap someone around?" or "Who is Batman?" I would tell them to watch the DCAU. No ifs buts or maybes.

Starting with Batman: TAS you have what I would call the best standalone Batman material, period. With the fantastic voice work of Kevin Conroy laying down the chops of Batman (when I read or think Batman, he is who I hear) and Mark Hamill voicing Joker and the rest of the supporting cast, followed up with complex but easy to follow story lines and it's fantastic gothic noir artwork, you get an unbelievable cartoon.

Following on from that, you get my favourite of the series which is Superman: TAS. Move over Christopher Reeve and Henry Cavill, because this is Superman. It's charming, it's complex, it's fun, it's beautiful to watch and it stands out even today just like B:TAS. It has a mix of old looking technology mixed in with futuristic but believable technology, and bright artwork that just brings Metropolis to life. (Seriously DC and WB, why haven't you remastered this in Blu Ray like the rest? You are sleeping on Superman and it breaks my heart...)

Then you have a few other gems like Static Shock and Batman Beyond which are worth a watch if they interest you.

And then you get Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. I love Marvel (Spidey is my main man!) but please step aside MCU, this is how you do Superhero storylines. It throws everything the previous series had and mixes it all together with the added bonus of the other members of the Justice League. It's brilliant and it works.

I'm not going to write anything more about these two shows, because if you are here and reading this, it means you are slightly interested to begin with and you shouldn't be reading me dribbling on, you should be watching the shows! Seriously just go do it. I mean it. Do it.

The best live action interpretation of Clark Kent/Superman
6 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This is the best live action interpretation of Superman and his origin story and the greatest superhero show to grace our screens in history in my opinion. It paved the way for the Arrowverse and every other Superhero show moving forward. I watch this series at least twice a year ever since it's release and I love it every time.

The only fault I have with it is Lana Lang after Lois Lane is introduced. The series tries to keep her around way to long but Erica Durance just steals the show and the will they/won't they with Clark and Lana begins to infuriate.

Lex Luthor played by Michael Rosenbaum is in my opinion the definitive Lex Luthor, he just owns this role and the Lex and Clark friendship turned nemesis is my favourite representation of these characters in comics and tv.

Tom Welling is Clark Kent. Enough said. I'm sorry Christopher Reeve but you are second place to me.
