When Worlds Collide (1951)
Wonderful early SCI FI
When I read that a new version of this classic SCI Fi was being produced I could hardly believe it. Seeing it for the first time in the 1960's, I was spellbound. Without giving any spoiler information those rockets they used were so real. I think they must have had good science adviser, because even back then you felt that were seeing things that could possibly be real. The human element was very real also. You really get an idea what would happen if such an incident would happen. The question that it ask is if you had the opportunity to save yourself from a major situation would you do anything to save yourself? One other thing there is a book version of the story and there is a sequel to the book, which talks about events that occur after this story. Also, the book differs slightly from the movie story.
The Caine Mutiny (1954)
One of the best movies of all times.
If you have not taken the time to watch this movie, then you should. From the start this movie will grab your interest. The acting is unbelievable. The story line is both interesting and heartwarming. You will feel for all the characters.
Star Trek: Nemesis (2002)
outstanding movie
This movie had all elements of a great Star Trek movie. It had stories of people trying to find a way to cope with the impossible. There has been a lot of criticism, but to each their own. You will feel sad and elated at the same time. Without giving any of the story away, this story really combines a lot of what Star Trek has talked about before, e.g. cloning. You will enjoy the movie.
The Mouse That Roared (1959)
a movie that I will never forget
If you love a good and funny movie, this is one should be on your list to see. I have not seen this movie for over 30 years, but remember it well. It is funny and enjoyable to watch. Try this film for fun and you will not be sorry.
Babylon 5 (1993)
tv best sci-fi show ever.
From the beginning to the last this show has great story lines. It is not your regular show, but instead it is one story over a five plus year period. The characters are realist and the plots are realist. You think you are reading a newspaper.
The Ninth Gate (1999)
what a movie
From the beginning to the end, this movie will keep your attention. It last 2 hours and 13 minutes, you will wish that it last longer. The plot centers around Dean Corso, a book detective that has been hired to prove the copy of a rare book is in fact what it seems to be. Well nothing else in the story is. There more curves and subplots. It will keep your attention to the ending credits.
The Tripods (1984)
Great TV show, book was better.
When this show came on, I found it so interesting. The special effects were excellent and the story line well done and it flowed with ease.
When I went to the bookstore to buy the novel version, to my surprise they were in the children's section. So if anyone wants to get some good books for their children I would highly recommend them (it is trilogy). Also, try to get a copy of the TV series.
Space Angel (1962)
Great cartoon
One of the best cartoons around. I can remember watching this show in the early 60's. It helped to understand how man was able to travel in space.
Scott McCloud and his team always saved the day.
