The Boy from the Wild (2019)
Disappointing and misleading!!
I spent £38 to see the premier of this film.
It's a 'conservation' film about a man who grew up on a safari, bought by his wealthy father who loved animals...
The whole video is about how much Peter wants to continue his fathers legacy.
There were no facts or information about the animals they keep there. At one point he referred to them as his 'pets'. In the talk after the film, he showed a picture of a rhino drinking from the family swimming pool. He then told the audience that the rhino fell in the pool and laughed.
The whole thing is extremely egotistical, with no information about how anyone can become more aware of animals in the wild. He constantly wanted to remind the audience that it wasn't about him or his success, it's about his father and also the 'animals'. Everything seems to come from a perspective of personal gain.
He also talked about a luxury hotel that they have/are building in the safari. At this point, I was ready to leave.
I didn't pay money for this, to listen to how much you owe to your father, I wanted to hear about animals in danger, and what I could do to help them and the conservation of their habitat.
Wouldn't recommend at all. Not worth any money or time to watch. I learn nothing from this film.
