An unusually candid and genuine S and M flick
24 June 2006
This is a clearly amateur production, with pretty primitive performances on lighting, camera work and story line. That being said, there was a compelling quality of genuineness about the principals in this strange "Femdom" flick, which overcame a lot technical blunders. It appears to be ad libbed during most of it, because I suspect "Angie" of outlining and directing it herself.:there seems, nevertheless to be an insistent reality here, and the lead, Angela Marie, is doubtless a practicing Dominatrix. I came across a copy of the VHS in a used shop and I found that it had a sense of 'Completeness",i.e..the usual s&m routine was pretty thoroughly covered , including shoe and foot fetishism, whipping, hot waxing "sissification" and strap-on. She is persuasive as an unreconstructed nasty, and her victim is excellent as the ultimate dweeb submissive. This tape was done as a promotional and solicitation for her personal services and she furnishes a contact phone number. I assume that all of this has gone away,by now, but if a copy becomes available it's the real thing. So few of them are!

Some unusual aspects...
4 June 2006
The movie is well enough done, and for what it was, a kind of cinema noire sexploitation, one of the better ones, even though it is now distributed by odd-ball outlets . Myles is a very competent actress, but her generous figure has been her worst enemy , as far as being taken seriously. She got a similar rap in 'The Phoenix City Story". But Myes forte is as a sensuous singer and she can hold her own with O'Day and the rest. The most interesting thing about this movie is the liberal use fetishism. An alternate title was straight out of Sacher-Masoch, " Venus in Furs" Meg Myles has a shapely foot and the director and the cameraman know it and pander to the fetish in several scenes. and the skillful Sado Masochistic leather slant is handled nicely, as well.; I've seen it bungled badly in some recent high budget stuff of recent years. I think the supporting cast was good, and credible with special kudos for Grayson Hall. I knew the club scene in Baltimore and NY in the 50 's and this flick captures it better than most.
