What happened to lighting?
Every scene is shot in almost total darkness. Daytime nighttime, indoor and outdoor is all in the dark.
Taking queues from "The Terminal List" is a very bad idea.
If you can't see the actors (especially black actors), it's an audio book, not a movie.
I thought it went "Lights, camera, action.
Remember the "LIGHTS" part of that.
The story is by itself hard to follow, many differing stories and timelines can be hard to follow. The premise seems pretty sound but bouncing between different stories and characters told repeatedly through recurring timelines can be a bit confusing.
Combine that with the awful lighting and so much of the story is just lost.
