A stunning episode with some of the best twists and turns ever seen in Doctor Who. Contrary to what the 1 star reviews are saying, this episode doesn't ruin Doctor Who in the slightest. Things change, and this reveal of the timeless child has created a springboard that will allow for new stories and further exploration into time lord lore. An all round action packed episode with great villains and even a cliffhanger ending.

It's times like these when I wonder whether the people leaving 1 star reviews actually watch the content they're so determined to hate on. Ascension of the Cybermen offers an exciting story with many twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat. The new design for the cybermen looks great and the character of Ashad presents a truly fascinating mystery. It's great to have the master make a return once more and the twist of Gallifrey at the end is excellent. A great setup to the finale.
