Godzilla vs. Evangelion: The Real 4-D (2019)
It was a good ride. That is all.
The setup had some potential, but it all falls apart once the battle starts. Not only does this version of Godzilla fight, he goes up against three Evas like Division III High School students trying to bring down Jim Brown in his prime. Once King Ghidorah shows up, the Evas do slightly better, but Godzilla ends up finishing the job, while Shinji and the others stay there, and watch Godzilla go back to the sea without finishing him off which makes no sense seeing that was their mission. Overall, it looks like a fun ride, but very little thought was put into the story of the meetup, and it is overall unsatisfying to fans of both Godzilla and Evangelion.
Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey (2023)
Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey was the most disappointing thing since my son.
This movie had loads of potential. After the E. H. Sheppard inspired animation, and the reveal of evil Pooh and Piglet, I was hooked. But when the opening credits hit, it started to go downhill. The new characters were very underdeveloped, and even for horror movie standards, they made some poor decisions which led to them getting killed. The movie only sells on its premise, and does nothing with it. Even if it was also stupid, 'The Mean One' was at least enjoyable because that film knew it would suck, so it just went nuts. And even so, it was still better. It's sad to see a movie and following, a whole cinematic universe with loads of potential fall on its face, but that's life. We can hope Rhys Frake-Waterfield learns from this, and makes a better sequel, along with a Bambi and Peter Pan movie, but I have my doubts.
Tiger Town (1983)
They couldn't get Journey again?
Alex is a big fan of the Tigers, but I don't even think the team itself takes itself as seriously as Alex does. Oh boy. Like many baseball fans, they want to their team win the pennant, and later the World Series. But Alex genuinely believes that he's the cause for the Tigers late season success, and skips school to see them. He also breaks into the locker room, and hands his favorite player Billy Young a piece of paper that reads what his dad gave him, which in my opinion, should have been "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey they got them for 'TRON,' why not this? Alex even spends a good while in the climax running across mo-town to see the AL East tie-breaker game. Though his dad tells him to never stop believing before he dies, but I'm willing to bet even he would think this is too far. Also, when the bullies take away his ticket, he still has to go to the stadium, and it seems like that was all for nothing anyway. Who knows, maybe I would like this movie if I was born around that time, or if I was a fan of the Tigers, but I'm not too surprised Disney hasn't released it to DVD yet despite what IMDb's cover may appear.
Santa Inc. (2021)
"The elf cries out in pain as he strikes you."
It's not about them making money anymore. The entire purpose of this is to insult White people and traditions that Whites celebrate. This can lose them a billion dollars, and they won't care. All this did was wake more people up. Which is why this deserves at least one star.
