The pace is slow. But the music succeeds in creating a strange atmosphere. Acting is impeccable. I agree with other reviewers that say that you have to be in the mood to watch such a movie. Now, can someone explain to me how a girl with milky white skin spend days in the desert without getting sunburns?

Not formulaic. Main character is a very good actor. This movie will not provide a clear cut answer and nice conclusion to the story. This shows one way of presenting the high strangeness when humans are confronted to other (alien) realities.

In this era of predictable scripts, this movie is a little gem. Acting is convincing. It is the kind of movie that stays in your mind for a long time after seeing it.
