Not awful
6 November 2022
Not an academy award winning movie, but not understanding the overly harsh negative reviews. Also it them read as being personal or written by people who don't enjoy found footage. If you wanted the first movie, and don't like found footage as so many others here have stated, then I would not reccomend this for you. Otherwise, it was entertaining, and very low budget. I don't consider low budget to be an insult though. Most of the interesting movies I've seen lately are low budget and this one is no different. Better than the first one. Only didn't give more stars because it really isn't that phenomenal. Just a good movie to pass the time.

Illiterate?
24 June 2022
I rarely leave reviews, because I am easy to please. I never go into a lifetime movie with a lot of expectations. I know the acting will be bad, but it's entertaining enough, and this movie was right on par with that. However, I am only giving two stars, because there is a scene where the nanny is reading Facebook posts about a man named nick logan, and she reads off one comment saying "nick Johnson" when there are multiple comments saying nick Logan. In no place, will we see the word Johnson. Why? Why couldn't they refilm that 10 second scene? Gaslighting their audience into thinking the name is nick Johnson when I can clearly read that it says nick Logan? I thought I was losing my mind. They didn't reference the nanny being illiterate, so I was completely blindsided by this. Do better.

I'm more confused about the reviews
22 March 2022
Honestly, i don't understand why you would choose to watch the movie after reading the description of you don't like movies that are "woke" or discussing race issues. I feel like that is more baffling than anything you will see in this movie.

Loud music, annoying crying
30 November 2021
I agree with the other comment that states the music is too loud. It's nearly unbearable. Not only that, the protagonist cries horribly, and is really not a good actor. I love lifetime movies because they are usually corny and entertaining, but this one is a little too much. The storyline is unoriginal, so with the loud music and the bad acting, it has little to offer. I gave four stars because it was entertaining enough.

Not as bad as the bad ratings here.
26 September 2021
It's weird to see so many people giving it 2 stars because "it's not like the haunting of hill house." It's not supposed to be, lol. Directors are allowed to produce two completely separate storylines, and even more so, two different genres. It's not a horror show with scares like hill house, but the scares are more of a psychological one that require some deeper thought. If that's not your taste then don't watch it. I get that this will be slow to some, or not for everyone, but to rate it 2 stars because it's a style of show that you don't vibe with is disingenuous.

MLMs are pyramid schemes.
11 September 2021
This docuseries does a good job of highlighting the problems with MLMs and the aftermath of joining one and being part of the 90+ percent of people who make little to no money in them. The story of Lularoe reps who were damaged by this MLM is a sad one, Lularoe ruined lives, but this is common with all MLMs and it needs to be discussed in the mainstream media. It was well put together and brought up the issues in an informative manner.

Quite terrible
2 September 2021
I have seen almost every lifetime movie that has been released since 2010. If it's a thriller, I've definitely seen it. I enjoy most of them, even the bad ones, I'm really not picky. With lifetime you usually know what you're getting. This one was genuinely one of the worst movies I've seen. The story line could maybe be good, but the acting was terrible. Some of the lines seemed so forced, like they made the actors says random things that didn't fit into conversation, just to foreshadow. It was so blatantly obvious. I guess the plus side is that it is so bad it's almost comical, which is why it earned any stars at all.

I understand the discourse

I get why many people say watching this is very traumatic, but I feel it's been unfairly rated. Jordan peele movies touch on black trauma, just not as bluntly or gory, this is a different style but still and important piece to watch as many people deny these things truly happened. If you are black, this will be triggering, it was for me so I think that you should proceed with caution. But it tells a story of things that happened, while implementing horror which is my favorite genre. The acting was good as well.

Entertaining but pretty bad

Warning: Spoilers
This movie was as entertaining as most other lifetime movies. I usually just put them on for background content to relax, however many scenes had me scratching my head. Still not sure why that dude was always spying behind trees but seemed to disappear whenever things popped off. Also not sure why if you're trying to run away from your crazy husband that you would feel the need to pack an entire bag. Just gtfo and return with the police.
