Andor: That Would Be Me (2022)
Season 1, Episode 2

Captivating
22 September 2022
This episode was an intriguing continuation of the story and a set-up for the third episode. The tone of the show is terrific and unique from any other Star Wars media, and the writing is better than ever before in Star Wars. Sure, the first and second episodes didn't captivate various people in the story similar to something like the Mandalorian, in which the opening was, in my opinion, way slower than this show's, but it made the direction of the show perfectly clear and appealing. It wasn't until the third episode when the actual path of this season became apparent, and all I'm saying is, don't turn away before watching the third one, in case you weren't hooked by the first two episodes.

Phenomenal

Absolutely phenomenal third episode! The first two paid off better than one could imagine. The first three episodes seem to stand more on their own setting up the on-going story for the rest of the season and the three-episode premiere was definitely the best way to go. Star Wars has always had its own simple but unique way of storytelling with its own standards, but the storytelling and writing in this show are on the level of other critically acclaimed shows outside of Star Wars. This has the potential to be the best Star Wars show of all. Visually this show is groundbreaking, and you must watch the episodes to truly see how beautiful the cinematography and visuals are, not only the trailers. Bravo Disney, can't wait for the next week's episode!

Bravo Toby!

Terrific opening episode. Star Wars has never felt as real as it does now, not even in 'Rogue One'. It's relatively slow, yes, but it's not a problem at all. I like it when shows take the time to establish their characters, so when the stakes get elevated, it's all the more rewarding and suspenseful. This is clearly going to be a deep character study, so we must get to understand the characters first and see the world from their perspective. The first two episodes aren't boring at all, and if they would have been mashed into one episode along with the third one, as some have wished, everything that comes down in the third would not be even nearly as intriguing or satisfying. This is going to be one hell of a show. Bravo Toby!
