Redemption Day (2021)
Disappointing and slow
My husband and I had high hopes of action and fast paced movie! We were disappointed, and after 30 mins it was so slow that we got up and started doing little chores around the house and baking. There was about 5 minutes of action - that's it.
News of the World (2020)
Enjoyable
This movie kept my interest, but wasn't full on amazing. It was predictable and my husband I kept asking "why don't they pick up the other people's guns they dropped?"
Homeless: The Motel Kids of Orange County (2010)
Agree with previous reviews - missed opportunity
While this was an eye opening documentary, the questions from the film staff were not empathetic to their history or life experience. I felt like the production crew took advantage of the children and family dynamics.
The Flight Attendant (2020)
Great show!
Entertaining, captivating, and a barrel full of WTF at times.
I watched a few interviews with Kaley Cuoco, where she said that the audience would not see Penny from The Big Bang Theory at all. She is right! I never once saw Penny. Kaley did an amazing job playing a messy, curious, confused, damaged, clever flight attendant. There were times I was rooting for her and others where I would be yelling at her through the TV "WHY!!!??? Why did you do that?"
I am looking forward to seeing where the next season takes the story.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Great start, but the ending cheated me
The first half was a 7. There was great conversation, I was engaged in the character development. There was a lost opportunity of the "fashion show scene" and more 80's references. The ending left me longing for something else...a better ending?
Soul (2020)
Pixar Nails It!
Cinematography/animation, voice acting, and overall flow was brilliant. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it kept me engaged. The only thing I would wish for would be a longer ending, I felt it was a bit abrupt. One can only hope that this means there will be a sequel where the characters can meet up!
The Midnight Sky (2020)
Slow but thoughtful
My husband wanted to watch this, as he is a George Clooney fan. The space scenes were beautifully done (and believable). I felt it moved slow, but it was thoughtful. The end threw us for a loop.
