A film undeserving of Evil Dead attachment
3 July 2023
Just another gross out horror film that relies on nothing but gore to make it feel worthy of your viewing. So happy I waited for it to hit Max so I didn't waste money at a theater. The story was all over the place and I never felt sympathy toward any of the characters. By the mid point I was rooting for all of them to die thanks to their collective stupidity. Once again just a typical horror film where white people make incredibly moronic decisions and to no one's surprise all hell breaks loose. Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell should petition to have this film removed from the Evil Dead franchise because it doesn't belong. Gone is the camp. Gone is the humor. Gone is the cohesive plot. Just blood and dread throughout. This movie is horrific and not in the good way. Don't waste your time on this piece of trash that contains truckloads of blood and zero scares.

Rick and Morty: Rick: A Mort Well Lived (2022)
Season 6, Episode 2
9/10
Has Summer become the best character in this show?
13 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Before everyone hates on me for this opinion let me explain. Rick and Morty have seen a ton of character development over the years and while Rick has maintained his hilarious sarcastic personality it seems like Morty has become even whinier and more annoying. On the contrary it's Summer who has taken the best parts of Rick and used it to become a hilarious and enjoyable character. Her storyline in this episode is proof of her growth as more than just Morty's sister that occasionally joined in on an adventure. She is consistently having fun whacky adventures of her own and she easily has the most "Rick" in her compared to Beth and Morty. Gotta say she is having a better character arc than most of the others in this show. I loved the Die Hard concept being lived out by someone who has never "seen a Die Hard" but simply kept shouting out "Die Hard" while going badass on all the alien terrorists in the arcade. Call it controversial but I think she has become the best part of this show.

The Boys: Herogasm (2022)
Season 3, Episode 6
10/10
This may go down as the greatest episode in television history
27 June 2022
Move over Ozymandias (Breaking Bad) there is a new sheriff in town. I don't think there has ever been an hour in my life where I shouted out loud at a television more than I did watching this episode. This is why "The Boys" is possibly the best show of all time. Everyone wants to praise "Game of Thrones" and "Breaking Bad" as the best shows but I disagree. While both are great "The Boys" has such an impressive story that keeps you engaged from start to finish. There aren't many moments where you feel bored or disconnected from the plot which I felt in other "great" shows. This episode in particular was not only one of the best episodes of the series but one of the best episodes of all time! If you know the show you should know what to expect in terms of graphic violence and sexual encounters. Somehow this episode ups the ante in both categories and delivers a delightful experience in storytelling and all the fun qualities that we've been spoiled with all series! I cannot wait to see what happens next!!!

South Park: Back to the Cold War (2022)
Season 25, Episode 4
1/10
At least South Park was great longer than The Simpsons and Family Guy
6 March 2022
I say this with a heavy heart. Along with classics like The Simpsons and Family Guy, South Park is overdue for a ride into the sunset. I praise the fact that SP stayed relevant and funnier than the other shows for a much longer time, however this show has run its course and needs to come to an end. Parker and Stone need to hang it up and enjoy their success as the greatest adult animation creators of all time. Sadly they are ruining their reputation with this abysmal season. I swear I have not laughed once during a single episode. That includes the "Pandemic" series. The comedy is gone. The creativity is gone. The passion of the craft is obsolete. Please.... for the love of comedy.... CANCEL SOUTH PARK!!!!! This show deserves an amazing send-off but at this point the fans are getting a slow and depressing death of an iconic series and we deserve better than this!!

Malignant (I) (2021)

Please tell me James Wan has a twin that made this abomination
18 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This is the worst movie I have ever watched. The biggest reason being I have come to expect so much more from James Wan when it comes to horror. This man brought us Insidious and The Conjuring. His triumphant return to horror after venturing out to blockbuster films was this hot pile of mundane garbage?? The so called "twist" is super predictable and there is not a single moment of actual horror in the two hour run time. I was bored and waiting for the misery to end. Even Joseph Bishara couldn't help with his score. One positive for the film is the cinematography. Wan has that special touch that can't be matched when it comes to setting up a scene. Too bad every single scare falls completely flat. I am having trouble believing the guy who made the scariest movies of the past decade made this lackluster snooze fest. There has to be an imposter at work. If the real James Wan can read this and is in trouble please let us know so we can help you.

Ted Lasso: Rainbow (2021)
Season 2, Episode 5
10/10
With all the terrible things going on in the world Ted Lasso is a Rainbow
22 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Ted Lasso continues to one-up itself by churning out incredible episode after incredible episode. I have never in my life watched a show that made me feel so hopeful that there is true good in humanity. This show gives us amazing characters with less than perfect backgrounds who support each other and help each other grow as human beings. This latest gem saw the ever formidable Roy Kent learn what truly makes him happy in life and to stop being afraid of going for it. We are then treated to possibly the greatest stereotypical rom-com "airport chase" scene which concludes with possibly the greatest stereotypical rom-com "take-me-back speech". The epic finale of this episode is overall one of the best of all time.

We also get to see Rebecca and Keely use their strong personalities for good as they help Nate grow his confidence. It doesn't seem to matter who or when, but the entirety of TL has seen each character go through amazing transformations at some point and in turn pay it forward to help someone else. This is what makes this show what it is. A light during a dark time in our history. Ted Lasso has made me laugh and cry, but most of all smile and feel hopeful even on the toughest of days.

If you haven't watched this show yet I cannot recommend it enough. It's the best feel-good show on television!
