I'm late to the show but what a fun ride!

Warning: Spoilers
This is the best AMC show for me. While Breaking Bad had all the drama and acting, the action and storylines of Into the Badlands are much more my style. I built up a lot of hype for this show and it more than exceeded my expectations. While all of you have seen the show (at least once - I will watch this again) I want to comment more on the ending of this episode.

I initially thought it was cheesy to have Disturbed's cover of "Sound of Silence" play at the end with some wannabe epic ending but the scene really grew on me as it went on; now I have watched this scene at least 10 times in the last 24 hours. The timing of some of the lyrics/music, particularly when Pilgrim signals to slice their lips, just fit perfectly. It even brought out emotions from myself which is rare. The scene elevated the song, while the song elevated the emotional ending of this episode (as if we needed more after discovering Sunny's sister!) - a beautiful combination. In my opinion, the momentum shift in the season can really be felt in this episode while the ending is the cherry.

Surprised how much I enjoyed this for not only being a sequel
21 October 2021
...And that I am also not a huge horror fan. I recently rewatched Hellraiser, and I'd also give it a 7 but the acting was bad. The acting of Hellbound wouldn't win Oscars but it's better than the first. I watched this solely based on the Amazon preview "it remains the most brutally original sequel in horror film history". I'm like damn ok bold statement. So I watched with no knowledge of the plot and therefore no expectations.

It starts pretty slow and you're hoping it's not another terrible sequel (or like the 7th in a horror series) but the second half is really what the viewers came for. The production was obviously more advanced than the first but the gruesome scenes kept upping the previous ones. Great climax but you knew the ending is gonna lead to the next one, which I didnt plan on seeing but now I'm intrigued.

TL;DR: I'm not a big horror fan but if you like shocking cinema, check this out especially if you liked the first.

Warning: Spoilers
This is the worst piece of television I've seen in a long time, but they are justifiably offed to end it by the legend Trejo.

The worst episode thus far in this disappointing season

I loved season 1 for the most part. This season has been quite the letdown and this might be rock bottom. If you like this episode , you're reaching.

Appreciate the little things

There's some cool little things in this movie but overall quite vanilla. If Driver is a good actor, this movie isn't the one to showcase his skills; at times it's like pulling teeth having a conversation with him. Don't see what all the hype is about

Poor angles take away from an otherwise interesting doc
8 July 2020
Very interesting, crazy sports showcased. My biggest gripe is a lot of the shots/angles don't give the sports justice. For example, I would've loved to see a wide view of the bull racing and more action of the rugby-boxing insanity.

My question from the show....how does PETA feel about Kok Boru?

From the beginning the accent is very off-putting, and my friend who does drag said the same. I get the emotions and all but it just didn't do it for me. Great acting by PSH though

The more you watch it, the better it gets

If you can tolerate...no, ENJOY, the rollercoaster of this movie then watch it a few more times. It's more enjoyable even tho you already know the outcome of the movie (and NBA game). Best part being Adam Sandler is out of his element but plays the part very well. you hate to love him, much like Denzel in Training Day (no he was not as good as Denzel)

Well worth the watch and telling your friends to watch a new Sandler movie if nothing else but to hear/see their reaction to something they never would've picked at the local Redbox

Insufferable
27 January 2020
I watched this because of the short length and even 17 minutes was tough to get thru. The monkey's voice is painfully monotone, then he sings to make things worse. David Lynch has some lines that are dumb in this context but may have been funnier elsewhere.

Unless you're a weird indie fan like that.

Good to play at parties.

Huge letdown
26 September 2019
Where to start? The acting, casting, plot, visuals, one liners...it was all horrible! Morgan playing a twang-speaking conservative, Claire's annoying brother, and The Rock playing the usual cheesy macho role. Plot was no better than any summer action no-brainer movie, also unrelated to the game with minimal references. Rock's one liners were typical quick chuckles from the movie theater audience that are forgotten soon as the credits role. Don't waste your time on this.

Not Oscar worthy but a few missed opportunities

Warning: Spoilers
Don't watch this with huge expectations, it's a Netflix movie. Though I think it's one of their better ones.

As a formal festival goer I enjoyed this movie for what it is and I believe it's accurate of the culture. Bonus points for having Galantis songs, especially PBJ.

My biggest gripe is they should have capitalized on Shaw's first and second sets instead of glossing over them as if they weren't major points in the movie. There's other small holes throughout but nothing major.

Overall an enjoyable movie if you are, or were, into EDM
