My Name Is Earl: I Won't Die with a Little Help from My Friends: Part 1 (2008)
Episode 14, Season 3
Earl's journey to hospital with "help" from his friends

This episode is more of a slapstick type farce than many of the better, well scripted episodes we come to expect from "My Name is Earl". After Earl is hit by a car in the previous episode he is taken to hospital by Randy and the other usual characters. In his unconscious state he imagines himself in a 50's type sitcom, with events in the outside world affecting his imaginings in his mind. This results in half the episode being written like a 50's sitcom, complete with lots of canned laughter etc. The jokes are of a similar style - well dated. This is not one of the better episodes, perhaps this is something to do with the Hollywood writers strike?
