Europe from Above: United Kingdom (2019)
Well presented overview
In planning to travel overseas, it pays to research those countries to some degree. My wife suggested we watch this segment for starters. We were not disappointed!
It was a brief aerial, ground, & personal intro to a variety of points of interests, which began w/ window washers on a wedge-shaped skyscraper in London & ended w/ an oil rig repair bay in Invergordon Scotland. In between we were treated to brief clips about an old train operating out of Dartmouth: indoor plants in a huge geodesic dome, in Cornwall: keg refurbishing in Cumbria: how a shepherd manages a sheep herd of 1100+: & a Rolls-Royce jet engine testing factory in Derby.
To me, the most intriguing segment was the part on that scientific marvel, the Falkirk Wheel. THAT is an adult amusement ride worth the wait in line!!!
It seems like a lot for 37 mins. Yet, b/c of its' languid pace thru the passing seasons, I felt entertained & interested to see more. Exciting & relaxing.
No mention of Wales, however.
