Good but felt like something is missing
23 November 2023
I don't think the story can be compared to S1 as both took place in different timelines. I agree with most of the reviews that Hansal Mehta should have directed this one. The first part was average and the story gains momentum in the second half. Splitting the episodes and releasing it with months gap was a bad decision. Why cant you makers release all the episodes at once? The second half is really good. The last episode seems fictitious. How did the politicians escape such an obvious scam? Only Telgi and his family members names are real, all the politicians and actors names used in this serial are fictitious. Why!!!! When you want to show true crime, please stick to that.

Invasion (2021–2024)

Wanted to like this but...
7 September 2023
I like alien invasion based shows but this one was worse than a slow burn. It was like a slow poison. Such a horrible storytelling; episodes 1 and 6 are good but then it slows down and is a painful watch. I hope S2 has something better to offer. I liked Aneesha's storyline but even that went downhill after episode 7. The stories of the soldier, Caspar and Mitsuki were horrible. I get it that the director was trying to make an impact but it is way too much register. Less of alien and more of emotional garbage. Alien captivates in every frame and makes this series watchable. Wajo Wajo Wajo...my mind spins each time I watch this. It took me ages to complete S1.

Only Vijay Varma is the saving grace of this horribly written series
3 August 2023
Series is basically about a reluctant cop who investigates an acid attack on a young student. The story starts off great with elements of humour and foreboding suspense. From episode 5 the story gets sidetracked and it feels like the maker just wanted to show patriarchal system by throwing in foeticide and illegal abortions. These could have been separate storyline in itself. The romantic angle between Ravi and Shivani was not required; would have made more sense if he tried to get to know Parul (matrimonial alliance). The climax was horrible, last episode looked like some action scene from a south movie. Episode 8 feels stretched. Anyways there may not be any season 2 as the story is given a proper ending. This was disappointing considering Vijay Varma is one of the finest actors, but yes, if you like his work, watch this series only to witness his performance.

6.9 Seriously!!!
24 June 2023
Extremely horrible right from the casting to the acting and dialogues. Vardhan Puri fails miserably to deliver a good performance and I dont think its his fault alone. Dont watch this movie. Please dont go by the ratings. This is horrible. Its a story based on a type of Jinn called Aseq who takes a human form looking for love. I can say the plot is not bad but the way it is directed is full of cringe. Do yourself a favour and watch Jagged Mind on Hotstar coz its worth it. Or watch Kerala Crime Files. Even Tin and Tina is better than this. I repent watching this movie. I just watched it coz I liked Vardhan Puri's acting in Yeh Saali Aashiqui. Disappointed!

Overall Could've Done Better
13 June 2023
The series starts off great until Episode 6 and then falls flat. Shahid Kapoor seems to overact towards the end when he is unable to take any sensible decision. The romantic angle between Shahid and Rashi Khanna was unnecessary. The only saving grace is Michael (Vijay Sethupathi). Brilliant acting. This series could've done a lot better in terms of giving a sensible ending to Season 1. It was so silly how they got away in Epi 8. The plot is brilliant and the series will keep you hooked atleast until episode 6. A sorry case of ruining the story by bringing unncessary romantic angle and then acting on your feelings. Farzi is good but not the best. Lets hope we see more screentime between Michael and Sunny.

The Weeknd can't act
5 June 2023
Some artists are not meant to be actors. The Weeknd is a good singer, a great artist but not a good actor. There is 0 chemistry between Lily Rose and The Weeknd, the romantic scenes are cringe. Lily Rose does fine but the series lacks direction. The character of Jocelyn is loosely based on Britney Spears. The show does address Hollywood's obsession with romanticizing mental illness and how they don't care if a pop star who is supposed to set some standards in the society is just out there spreading herself. Unfortunately, this series lacks a good direction, the cast could have been better. I guess Jared Leto would have done a fab job but lets see what more this series can bring.

Horrible. Better watch Ray Donovan
11 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I couldn't move past 20 mins in E1. So done with this trash! Cant you folks come up with something original?? Please watch Ray Donovan. This has become typical in Indian series, you guys have to use cheap languages and also copy family values from the West lol! Rana Daggubatti's hindi makes me wanna throw up! Angrezi mein hi baat kar lete. There is no shortage of scripts! Please bring something new to the audience instead of remakes and that too a poor attempt! I have started watching Ray Donovan and it looks more believable than Rnaa Naidu. Do youself a favour and stay away from this remake garbage!!!

Fall (I) (2022)

I actually imagined myself on top of that tower. OMG!
5 March 2023
Fall is a survival thriller movie where two best friends Becky and Hunter go on one of their climbing expeditions and find themselves stranded atop an abandoned TV tower (2000 m). The tower looks so scary and even the strongest of hearts wont dare to climb. Becky was recovering from the loss of her husband Dan who died in a similar way by falling from a cliff. Hunter is an adventurous girl and mind you her spirit is at the end of a spectrum. This movie is pure adrenaline rush from the get go and upto the last 20 mins where it slows down. I loved the cinematography, the way the tower was shot and those vultures damn! Performances by the lead actresses were amazing, they must have put so much effort to shoot those sequences. The heights gave me vertigo and at some parts I imagined myself being stuck there. I felt connected to the movie. There are some unbelievable portions as well but this is a movie and most movies are not 100% realistic. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the movie and would highly recommend this.

Almost correct depiction of Mughals
5 March 2023
This is a series and you cannot expect 100% accuracy; however the makers have shown the barbaric nature of Mughals albeit added a soft touch on Akbar's views on religion. The first episode provides a good introduction to almost all the main characters. They have also shown Salim and Durjan who were addicted to opium and women. Of all three brothers, Salim is shown as enigmatic and compassionate; Murad as barbaric and Daniyal as a God fearing prince. The cinematography and the palace set is beautiful. Hoping the rest of the series maintains the same pace. Naseeruddin Shah as Akbar and surprise surprise Dharmendra as Chisti are just what you need to watch this series for.

Dear Edward: Pilot (2023)

Emotional.Heartbreaking
12 February 2023
The first episode was an introduction to the characters before the tragedy. We get to know the prominent characters: Edward, Lacey, DeeDee, Adriana and Linda. The story revolves around their lives which will continue to form the crux of the story later. The last few minutes were difficult to watch (the plane crash). The character development is good. We see many different kinds of shades of these characters: Edward is shy and intelligent, DeeDee is good at heart but comes across as too loud and pompous, Lacey has some bitterness against her sister (Edward's mother) as she couldnt have kids. Adriana feels suffocated under her grandmom's shadow who is a Congresswoman and also a passenger on the flight which ultimately crashes. The aftermath forms the base of the ending of this episode.

Not really the story worth for a movie adaptation!
12 October 2022
Stephen king has the ability to mix emotions with horror as he did in many of his novels and just by reading you can connect to the characters and feel their pain or joy or terror. This short story definitely makes for a good read but unfortunately falls flat on the face in this movie adaptation. I liked the first half, the bonding with Mr Harrigan and the various emotions Craig goes through from the time he starts reading to Mr Harrigan as a child until the death of the old man. The second half was boring and predictable. Its not a horror movie. Not everything can be made for the eyes, some must be read and felt. This story is unfortunately one of those.

Dulquer Salmaan rockssss!!!
25 September 2022
In a nutshell, this movie wont bore you even for a second and you will be hooked till the end

Plot: The movie opens with a grisly crime scene where a movie critic is brutally murdered. ACP Arjun (Sunny Deol) is the officer in-charge for this murder investigation. So, the murder investigation runs parallel to another sub-plot which is about Danny (Dulquer Salmaan) who is a florist and an ardent Guru Dutt fan (revealed before intermission). He falls in love with Nila (Shreya Dhanwantary) and their love story proceeds in a filmy way. Lots of references and songs from Kagaz Ke Phool. How these subplots connect forms the rest of the movie.

Dulquer Salmaan's performance is fabulous. He owns this movie. Even Sunny Deol's acting paled in front of him.

This is definitely one of the best movies of 2022.

Searching for the sense in this movie
23 September 2022
In a nutshell, everyone in this movie are deceiving each other leaving the audience cheated in the end.

Story: R Madhavan (Yatharth Sinha) and Khushaali Kumar (Sanchi Sinha) are a couple whose marriage starts off great in the first few mins of the movie and then we get to know that there are some cracks in their so-called happy married life. The dialogue opens with Sanchi asking Yatharth for divorce as she wants to go to UK. Yatharth seems shocked and he leaves for office. The day goes on as usual until he gets to know that a terrorist was hiding in his flat holding his wife hostage. Several news channels broadcast this news and here we see how the media tries to incorporate fake narratives to gain TRPs. The movie has left no stone unturned in making fun of Arnab Goswami. Back in the flat, a kind of sexual tension develops between Sanchi and the terrorist Gul Haq (Aparshakti). She tries to lure him and takes him in her confidence. Outside the building Yatharth teams up with Mumbai police and he confides that his wife has a delusional personality disorder. Please note, the mental conditions are tossed around the characters like its a ball or something. Up there, Sanchi confides in Gul that Yatharth is having an affair with his psychiatrist Vidya and he wants to prove that she is mad. The rest of the story is based how the events unfold and who is really the culprit.

I watched this movie only coz of Madhavan and Darshan Kumaar whose acting was not really commendable. Despite being great actors, their role and the way it is executed makes them look like clowns. Aparshakti was way better than everyone.

I think actors should really read the script before making such movies. This movie is worse than Brahmastra. In this movie, a plot is twisted so much that it loses meaning in the end. I couldnt connect with any of the characters. The background or the past was not explained correctly or shown well. T series must just stick to making below standard music videos.

Dialogues were also pathetic in some places. The scene where a police helps a terrorist escape just shows how cheap this moviemaker thinks the police force are.

Huge disappointment!

Thin line between hope and logic
31 July 2022
We get to see contrast views: Nam-ra who thinks its better to stick to logic in a situation where anyone can turn into a zombie eventually and On-jo who is hopeful despite the gravity of the situation. Cheong-san's narrow escape from the zombies in a situation where he could have easily got bitten is unrealistic as he is the main lead and the makers have to keep him alive. The cute love stories developing between the main characters make you smile. The emotional quotient is riding quite high in this episode. The scene where the Inspector saves the baby and the way the zombie mother looks at him when he picks the baby is heartbreaking. The emotions experienced by the characters when they discover the situation outside tears you apart from within.
