Percy Jackson and the Olympians (2023)
Release it all at once
I love the show already. The characters, the cinematography and the writing is just how I imagined.
It doesn't matter they don't look like the book descriptions, they act like the characters and that's enough.
Although I am really enjoying the show so far... the weekly release is messing with the flow and makes it feel inconsistent.
I wish they had just dropped it all on the same day to binge.
Especially as the majority of the viewers have read the books so the story isn't a mystery worth 7 weeks.
I hope they change this in future seasons and it'll help especially with the negative review regarding just the first few episodes.
Meet Cute (2022)
Underrated
This deserves higher than a 5.7. It is so beautifully we'll done and I don't understand and negative ratings. It was a well written dark comedy with so much meaning. Now I think some people are confused and misled, it's more sad than funny, it a drama romance film.
And it was actually performs better than you'd expect. The acting and is great and the tone is consistent. For such a bizarre film it doesn't even seem that strange.
It's a great film and really depicts depression well. Such an sad film but makes you happy in the end. So overall, great actors, great acting, and great script. Definitely worth a watch.
That '90s Show (2023)
It's developing
I hope Netflix doesn't cancel this one, because it has potential. It was a joy to watch, and with every episode I began to like the characters more and more.
I also have seen some people complain about the chemistry between the friends compared to the friends of "That 70s Show". But that's kind of should be the case, leia had met them like a day ago, so of course it'd be strange.
Now the characters are still developing and the dialogue is definitely becoming more natural. I also feel like this show has an actually pretty good rating for a reboot. Most reboots don't go very well, but I think this one might work out.
The Office: The Lover (2009)
Great episode
I enjoyed this episode so much. It was an interesting turn of events and I think was executed perfectly.
Some people don't like Pam in this episode though, which I think is very unfair. In my opinion Pam's actions were justified. As at the beginning she is very suddenly going through the shock of learning that her mother is sleeping with her boss, and not just any boss, Michael Scott himself.
He also doesn't help his case as he begins to treat Pam as if she were his daughter. This is very disrespectful and obviously makes Pam aggravated.
So please stop bagging on Pam and this episode. Alright rant over. Sorry just had to be said.
Hard Cell (2022)
Omg loved this
I love a good mockumentery. It is a good laid back show and totally bingeable. The dark British humour really brings it together. I usually find shows where one person plays multiple characters, in funny, besides Chris Lilley shows, but this worked. There's a great twist, so don't give up on it. I'm just gonna add some more words to reach the minimum character limit. Blah blah blah something something random words going on blah blah blah good show good good blah blah something something again again and again blah abcdefghijklmnipqrst when will it reach the limit, oh wait it is reaching it now.
I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House (2016)
Decent and interesting
This seems like it is a good movie, it's just a shame my simple mind couldn't wrap my head around it.
It is a good movie, sorta like a classic horror novel.
The cinematography was beautiful and the story was enterataining.
It probably isn't for everyone, but not every movie is.
A lot of films are made for specific people but I don't know if people realise that. Which is a shame.
Beautiful story and great actors. You can't do something else while you watch though, just a warning cause it requires you're complete attention.
It is different unique and interesting. Go try it but if it's not for you, you it's not for you.
Werewolf by Night (2022)
Refreshing
This is how horror movies should be made. It is such a unique film that still has the marvel feel. It is a homage to the 1930s universal monsters that does the job perfectly.
I love the details in the special effects, and the overall story is interesting and entertaining.
Nothing to be upset about, and I doubt there will be many bad reviews.
There is no other film like it, it is an masterpiece that speaks volumes.
How couldn't you love it. So much work went into the details for this film and it completely replicates the feel to the classic monster movies!
If you haven't already watched it, go watch it now!!!
Return to Oz (1985)
It's a classic
Although this movie is not a direct sequel to the 1930s one, you still understand what set up this story. Obviously they couldn't remake the classic so they went straight for the sequel, which was fantastical.
It is so dark yet so vivid, colourful and fun. Even though the cgi isn't good, keeping in mind this is an 80s film, it is actually more pleasing to the eye than most cgi in todays movies.
The film tells a good story, and is so unique and different. It introduces new characters and brings back old ones to create a beautiful masterpiece of a movie.
If you haven't already watched it, I suggest you go watch it now.
9 (2009)
Love it!!!
This film is just perfect. It is a new take on the dystopian future. I loved this when I was younger and I started l still do! It is dark scary and unique. Much like coraline, it is a childrens horror film that adults can also enjoy. The story and clothing designs are just so fascinating and cool. It's a shame merchandise from this movie is near impossible to find. I will not spoil the movie in case you haven't watched it, and if you haven't, you should. Watch it now!!!
The remainder of this review will be nothing because I'm simply getting the word count up to the minimum requirement. I have now reached it.
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (2016)
Pure movie magic and a must see
This movie is an incredible visually breathtaking film and deserves more.
It's beautiful special effects and stunning costumes really bring it together. Especially when miss perigrene (Eva green) rewinds time.
Although it is different from the books it is still and amazing film in its own way.
Tim burton was the perfect choice for director, but I feel like he wasn't given enough time to tell the story. It should've been a series directed by Tim burton like "Wednesday."
The story is unique and peculiar which makes it such a great film to watch.
I like the new characters Tim burton created too, like the twins.
I wish there was a sequel, or maybe Tim burton would make it into a series with Eva green coming back to the role.
In the end it was a masterpiece, another to Tim burtons collection.
Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
An worthy sequel
Why can't people see the greatness f this film. It is funny, goofy and adventurous.
Throughout the film the mythology of Thor is depicted in such a fun way. We get to see so many new places and people it's is truly incredible.
The cgi was pretty good for something filmed and edited in a pandemic. The soundtrack was fun and great too.
People forget about this when writing reviews, but I don't. Taika Waititi has listened to what people wanted when creating the film, but still people complain. I hope he directs Thor 5 because he is an awesome director and writer. I don't see the issue with this film.
A lot of people are mad that it's a silly film but his is because it's told from korgs perspective as you see in the beginning of the movie when he is telling the story to the asguardian kids.
It's funny, different and overall fantastic!
