Shôgun: A Dream of a Dream (2024)
What's with the low reviews??
This is Brilliant! Brilliant!!
Shogun is about winning the war before the war Begins
When I first started this show, I expected large amounts of action, and more of a war show. And while we got some action, This is a beautifully written drama.
This finale is near-perfection. It proves that this show doesn't have a main character. It wraps up Yabushiges story perfectly, Anjins story perfectly, and the most well written character of all, Toranagas story perfect
Yabushige claiming that Toranaga wants power is brilliant, because it reminds us that every man really just wants power in someway or another. When Toranaga replies "What's the point of telling a blind man the future", Yabushige knows all he needs, and commits Seppku.
Overall this show had its slow points, But it was beautiful, 9.6/10.0.
Hijack: Brace Brace Brace (2023)
Marvel should take a thing or two from this
This series has been thrilling and completely action packed the whole way through, while still having near perfect pacing. This finale has to be one of the most exciting and well made finales in a long time. This, (Unlike Marvel) is how you make a 6-7 episode series. Interesting characters all around and consistent episodes all throughout the season. Hijack has had the same level of thrilling cliffhangers that I felt watching better call Saul, or the game of thrones. Idris Elba was by far the star of the show and put on one of my favorite performances I have seen In a very long. All in all this show is a true 10 out of 10 with the episodes only getting better as the series went on.
The Last of Us: Endure and Survive (2023)
Nearly perfect...
This episode is heartbreaking and wholesome at the same time. The final scene is very sad but makes me very intrigued for the next few episodes. I've never played the game but I had the feeling this episode was going to end sad. The design of the bloaters were cool even though I don't know the importance of them. Pedro pascal acts beautifully as Joel. All time Same for Bella as Sam. This episode is the best acted to me and my favorite. Im lowering my expectations because it's nearly impossible to get better than that episode! Please watch this show even if you don't like zombies. It's so much more then that.
Breaking Bad: Fifty-One (2012)
Least favorite episode episode, and its still not horrible
This episode truly bugs me, you would expect an episode of tv about drug dealing to be depressing but this episode exceeds that. The scene of Skylar walking into the water is EXTREMELY different than the rest of the series and the episode is sadder than exciting. The only scene that made me happy was jesse giving the watch to walt, but skylar bugs me the whole episode as usual. Though I will say I am giving this episode a 6 out of 10 still which is still enjoyable. I firmly believe there isn't a bad breaking bad episode and this episode still makes me think that (barely). I will say this episode to me marks the full shift of walters character from likable to villainous.
