Anne Frank: The Whole Story (2001)
Amazingly well done
I always loved the story of Anne Frank and never really watched any of the films depicting her life. I seen this one for the second time in my life after not seeing it in two years. Both times had me being emotional as it does touch on Anne's personal life as well and her relationships with family, friends, and all the people who surrounded her. Also because, I could relate to Anne Frank's feelings (almost some of them because, She is female and I am not) on how she felt different from the rest, how she wanted to be somebody, and how the only person she felt understood her was her father. I highly recommend watching this for anyone who has not seen it yet.
Libaas (2013)
Another Lollywood Movie at it's Best!
Libaas (I have no idea what that means because I do not speak the language of the film). An "Erotic Drama" starring local stars such as "Ahmed Butt" and "Anjuman Shehzadi" (rip). I gave the movie a 10/10 because, What can I say? It is a Lollywood movie made in the late 2000s with film grain, random dance and music scenes, "overacting", and delaying release date. How this is determined is because, "Anjuman Shehzadi" died in 2011. This movie was released in 2013. I love Pakistani films (and foreign films in general and specially from this part of the world) and movies much like this one will always hold a special place in my heart. Check this movie out on YouTube at the MovieboxMovies Channel.
Black Cat (2009)
What more could you expect from a movie made in Lahore?
If you like low budget Lollywood films made in the 2000s, This is the movie for you. For a person watching this (or any Lollywood movie) for the first time, They would not expect this movie to have been made in the "Islamic Republic of Pakistan." Much like a Indian movie (Pakistan's neighboring country) it has random dance and music scenes however, They would be branded as "vulgar" with very "sexual" lyrics and dancing. However, I do not have a problem with this and actually enjoy it. The movie has film grain and quality that makes it look like it comes from a film from the early 1970s. However, I like this look. This is also a common thing in these movies. I like the look of an old looking atmosphere in a modern world. What makes this movie even better, It is a horror film. A "girl gets revenge" kind of horror film. I will not give too much of the movie away because, I would like people to see it for themselves. I of course gave the movie a 10/10.
