Our justice system is broken
8 March 2024
But we knew that. This film highlights some of the lesser known facts about the way the system is designed to fail our most vulnerable citizens. I'm glad I got to know where some of our elected officials stand on this issue so that it will be an easier choice to make, come election time. We as a nation need to get more involved as citizens and work towards a better system for all. Leaving it up to the politicians is not going to bring about the systemic change that our country desperately needs. The big takeaway for me is that we need to organize...more grassroots movements. We need to challenge the system at every level. Watching this film is one of the steps in politics literacy that should be a compulsory watch for all those yearning for change.

Haunting
3 February 2024
My previous review was canceled without any explanation; my only thought is that it must have contained a spoiler.

This is an important film to see. I think the director did a great job telling a forgotten story about the creation of Israel. We are offered a glimpse into history from the perspective of the Israeli soldiers who participated in the massacres of the Palestinian villages that were ethnically cleansed during the creation of the state of Israel. I am amazed that this film was made and screened at US festivals, given the censure these types of films typically receive. It's a tough watch, but a necessary one.
