What an awful movie
25 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Started this with the notion that it probably want the best movie, but it sounded fun, and a mediocre movie can be enjoyable. But don't do what I did, it's not worth a watch.

First of all the main actresses are doing an awful job with what is an awful script. I feel like someone is telling be about a movie, that I'm not watching the actual movie. No feelings, undeveloped characters, poorly edited. I feel like Chloe's character plays in a different movie that what im watching. When she is kidnapped and held captive we see her reaction and that she is traumatized but not why. I understand it's a scary and awful situation but the movie are not making me believing that is it, so Chloe's reactions seems to not line up whit what is happening. She should be able to fight that little lady.

How can you make a stalker story boring? And it's so implausible. I can take an implausible story if it's fun and campy, but this movie tries to be a serious thriller.

This movie seems like a missed opportunity, because it should have been at least a fun watch but it's not.

Boring and loud
10 March 2023
I don't think is a bad show but it's not that good either. A lot happens but still it's boring because there is no progression and no actual likable characters. I gave up after 5 episodes, I really tried but I stopped when I realized I don't care about anyone in this show. I wanted to like it so I gave it a fair chance and the gritty look was interesting at first but almost became a parody of itself as the show went on.

Things it did well was to convey the claustrophobic feeling in the restaurant, and the first episode made me think I would like it, but sadly I didn't. Also the actors were good, it's just the characters wasn't that well developed.

Another season of twd?
10 March 2023
I have not played the game. But I was really looking forward to this show. I loved the three first seasons of the walking dead, rest was ok but I stopped when Negan entered. The reason I'm talking so much about the walking dead is that I feel I'm just watching a season of twd.

It's nothing new, the drama, the dynamic of the characters, the world, the look..I've seen it all and it's boring when you've watched 6 seasons of twd.

First part of episode 1 was great, got a bit boring towards the end. Ep 2 was ok, got a tiny bit more world building, but I feel the show rushes world building because people have either seen the walking dead or played the game or both. Feels a bit lazy to rely on that. Episode 3 was great as a standalone short film, but didn't add much to the story, but still enjoyed it. But even this episode felt like out of the book of twd. Twd also had these kinds of "anomalies" episodes. And in episode four we just got another twd trope with the mean leader and her followers. I'm giving up after four episodes. To boring, nothing new, feels like I know how all the dramatic arcs are going to go.

Not boring
13 January 2023
It's not the best movie or even best mediocre horror I've seen, but what it definitely isn't is boring. I won't give away the plot, but if you like it weird just keep watching even if it first doesn't seem like the film you though. I like that they have shot parts of the move in China, gives it a different feel, and the story seems bigger. Its very original in some ways and others not. But as I said if you like horror and weird you will get it together with some gore. And again, what I hate most is boring movies and this is definitely not, it's quite short and knows it's limit. Hope you enjoy!

Slow burn
13 January 2023
This movie is a slow burn, so if you don't like that it's not for you. For me it's one of the most interesting horrors I've seen in a while. Great actors and beautiful and interesting architecture that almost becomes its own character. It's not that the plot it's the most original but it's the storytelling! Great main character, really got in to the feeling of being in a new city feeling alone. I won't say to much about the plot you have to see for yourself. But I actually got a bit afraid after watching and I see a lot in this genre. I was a afraid it was going to be a very mediocre movie that just ended up being boring but luckily not. I really enjoyed it and will watch it again soon m.

Don't understand the high ratings
13 January 2023
I don't understand the high ratings this film has. It doesn't suck, but it's not crest either. Great actors, setting and sometimes the atmosphere. But the story is a bit childish, feels immature. And it should not be classified as a horror, it's a drama with some horror elements, and it's the horror elements that don't feel very sophisticated. It's very slow and not a real slow burn, it's just a slow drama. It also starts of with one of my least favorite things, voice over narrator. I only like that in real specific movies. Also to be over 90 minutes I feel that we don't get to know the characters, they are just there and very shallow.

I now forgive how bad the original show ended
16 January 2022
I absolutely love s1-5 of Dexter, the three last was ok, kind of meh at sometimes. But I actually hated how the series ended. Couldn't believe how the endings of my favorite show could be so bad. But this reboot with its 10 ep is really good! It has keep the good things from the original show but also made it something new. I now forgive how bad s8 ended lol.

What a mess
11 April 2021
I've seen a lot of Korean movies, good movies, this was not one of them. Forced and messy storyline to come to an end that was meh.

I don't see what the fuss is about
8 April 2021
I mean 1,5 hour of nothing special ... It might have been a good experience for the people at the show, people like to be seen and feel special, but what's new about that? And the manipulation of feelings, I did not get that. Felt like I was looking at a religious meeting or self help thing the way people in the audience reacted. It was weird, boring and quite annoying.

I don't get the bad reviews - not a remake
6 December 2020
Not sure why this has gotten such bad reviews. It's not the best horror I've seen, but absolutely not the worst, I've seen lots worse. It had female leads and a feminist message, maybe that rubbed people the wrong way. Why it's compared to the 1974 and 2006 version is just because of the name, it doesn't feel like a remake, even though the there are a few similarities in the setting of the movie at Christmas in a sorority house. I thought it was fun and discussed important themes. But not very scary. Felt like a YA series, so if you like that genre this will be fun.
