Ilhados com a Sogra (2023)
Hh
This is a mystery series built around a newly retired professor Harry Wild, played by Jane Seymour, and a quirky albeit snarky teenage boy from the wrong side of the tracks named Fergus, played by the wonderful newcomer Rohan Nedd.
This series won me over from episode one! The mysteries are great and the dialogue is fantastic. The supporting cast is wonderful and anything but typical. Harry has a son Charlie who is a guard (police officer), Fergus' dad, who is a low level criminal, seems to know a guy who can just about do anything. Harry's local pub is filled with colorful characters including the owner and a constant bar stool fixture named Glen, who has some of the most ridiculous dialogue!
I really enjoy all of the literary references in the regular banter...Harry establishes early on that she is not your typical "grandmother".
The Matthew Shepard Story: An American Hate Crime (2023)
God
Almost everything anything I needed to know about the Shepard case I got through the great HBO film "The Laramie Project" which had a stellar cast and it was a very special movie even though the story presented about the details of the crime and then afterwards with the WBC homophobic protests on his funeral makes for a harsh experience to be seen and I never went back to see anything related with, except reading on the internet.
I don't usually shy away from movies of any topic but for a little while I almost decided to not see it. But I got myself into it just to see what more could be added to Matthew's story and it was worth seeing it since it puts into a wider context of our current times and everything that happened, of good and bad, 25 years later after his killing.
And it turned out to be a really great, informative documentary.
For the generation that came after him or haven't heard about the murder in 1998, this is a really important and well-made TV special that presents a little about who was Matthew,
Accused: Guilty or Innocent? (2020)

My goodness, I watched just 1 episode and it sent shivers down my spine. The makers of this serie did a fantastic job in showing the viewer from the start to the end what it all means when you go through such a horrendous experience. I think this is one of the best real-crime documentary I have watched on a crime shivers down my spine. Parking Lot Payday (2022)
God
I started the first episode looking forward to a lighthearted and fun anime. I got exactly what I expected and I find that very satisfying. The characters while yet to face many serious problems or situations are all very likable and endearing. The show just leaves with this wholesome all around good feeling inside. It also made me laugh out loud a couple times, -though if you ask my friends that's not very hard. But even with my easy laughing nature I'd still chalk this up and a good show with great promise and I can't wait for the next episode. Esperando el próximo episodio que sea de lo mwjor.
