No wonder why the writers are paid poorly
17 July 2023
This is quite a disappointment to watch. Multiple flaws in the story, not to mention the the discontinuance of the flow plus the obviously theatrical scenes.

I personally look for a logically comprehensive stories and if a multi-million dollar film can't deliver a story that makes sense then I don't know what the writers are doing.

In light of the recent strike of writer's guild I wonder who's responsibility it lies that this film ended with a half baked story. Is it the production companies that pays poorly so the writers can't deliver a good story or is it the writers who can't deliver a story therefore they get poorly paid? The result is the same they get paid poorly we get bad movies.

Imagine this is what humans do to other species on earth
29 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Except you don't have to imagine. It is happening everyday and no one cares. Let's all do a little something about it the world will be a better place for sure.

And let's not kill earth. Save earth save humanity this is the take away I got from an amazingly well done film.

Beautiful visual, touching story, marvelous technology and a deep and thoughtful message with an alarming warning. Let's give a hand to James.

I almost cried and I felt guilty for not doing anything to stop the current way of trading nature. This is a film everyone should watch. Old and young. So maybe one day we can unite for earth and for nature.

If you want to do sci-fi at least make it scientific.
13 July 2022
Swim in space is a big no no. If you can't follow laws of physics might as well make a horror series.

Characters are pretty shallow and story is pretty much on the slow side with no real meaningful intersection.

All in all I rank it junk.

Poor acting and hollow story
19 June 2022
The lead character was not able to let me immerse in the illusion that he is a genuine person in the world of the story. I can se he was acting the whole time. Fake cries and lip bites does not help in that respect. The story is also pretty hollow. I don't get what CHA CHA REAL SMOOTH means after watching the whole movie.

Fantastic show
19 May 2022
This show left me hanging the whole time. A bit mad at the open ending. But I do see it is going to be super hard to follow up on the ending and still be original and creative. If anything, this show left too many unsolved mysteries hence 9/10.

LEGO Batman was better
7 May 2022
Fell asleep a few times during the movie. Good opening, mediocre middle part and an anti climatic ending. Not the best Batman you can find. Just watch LEGO Batman.

Porn for the mind
3 April 2022
Despite quite superficial, it does earn points for the softcore stuff. A classic lower class coming up to win the higher class girl story. It could be great it the ending also says the little girl is Finn's daughter.

Awfully cute and wonderfully spot on.

I have not laughed this much at a movie for so long. And amongst all the laughters, Pixar's still managed to put its signature magical touch of depth into this heartfelt masterpiece.

Stop putting many cool ideas in a story
8 November 2021
Foundation has a good sci-fi book to start with. But the producers are to focused on putting cool ideas like the discussion of existence, souls and religions. But they totally missed out on telling a good story.

If you don't have a good story nobody cares about your ideas. Learn from Denis Villeneuve.

Good sci-fi with some flaws.
9 May 2021
Here are some details I noticed that could make the film more realistic if done properly.

1. Max-Q shouldn't be during second stage.

2. First stage time too short but understandable with jump cuts.

3. When performing EVA close to the center of rotation they did not use clips and at the same time they did not have anything that attaches them to the space craft which is a big no no.

4. When they do decent on tether they should always put clips on first.

That's all I have for now.

What's up with the montage Nolan?
21 February 2021
Contributing to an already difficult to understand plot is the jump cut and unintroduced characters no back ground no foreshadowing. Come on.

A empowering feminist story
9 December 2020
Too fake for a real story of Mulan. I get Disney's princesses are suppose to be fictional. But coming from China and see them running up the wall, it was just too fake, not to mention the scale problem, the whole capital city has around 100 guards?? I also think the performances are somewhat superficial.

Good sci-fi turned into superstitious garbage
6 October 2020
Sorry for all the sci-fi fans out there. I was as excited as most of you for the first few episodes. However, as plot progresses this series turned into something disgusting with voices in everyone's head and unexplainable ghost images. The creator of this series did not really have a great track record and it shows.

Religious elements drags the rating down
23 April 2020
Excellent drama. However, the religious elements are making me feel like this is just another film funded by religious groups to recruit more people, like watching a 2-hour-long advertisement.

Tear grabbing, sure, but not much more than that
19 February 2020
This film is trying really hard to grab some cheap tears and they did for many that watched it, almost got me too. But the story and the acting is mediocre at best.

Burning on boths sides of the screen
10 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This masterpiece paints a picture of a burning rage inside the film, however, perhaps more importantly, it also lights the fire for the urge for justice within audiences through manipulative storytelling and attention to detail.

The indifference and gender biased picture of the korean society is of course in focus, but it also resonnances with the blind urge for justice that audiences may feel while watching the film, despite the fact that the movie never clearly stated that Ben is the killer and there's no trial for his "death sentence" in the end.
