Killing Eve: Just Dunk Me (2022)
Subdued start but with some satisfying set-ups
Although it misses the punch of a typical season opener, the episode does set up some interesting perspectives. It establishes what might be the apparent character flip of Eve and Villanelle. Or does it? Maybe it's too obvious.
A few new characters add some dynamic, but they are yet to show themselves as having conflict, which was one of the exciting characteristics of season one, the opposing views of Eve and her husband. Eve's new counterpart is clearly the opposite, so seeing where that dynamic goes will be interesting.
A slightly subdued start to the final season but with some satisfying setups.
The Man in the High Castle: Fire from the Gods (2019)
Quick editing fix
Adendsen turns to the Portal "it's open now", fade to white, roll credits. There, fixed.
Credit cut scene, Inspector Kido recognises Childan, flags back his sons boat, get Childan to Japan, happy ever after. Fixed even better.
Everything about this episode was great, pace was spot on, most character arcs came to their rightful place, just a few minor director/editing tweaks and it would have been perfect. Still, overall, a good ending to the series.
