Who writes the garbage
6 April 2024
This show seems to get progressively worse. The crews are all portrayed as screaming idiots that spend the whole show screaming in each others ears despite having wired Comms. I presume the script writers never spent any time listening to actual crews. The over the top CGI the nonsense about the crews being terrified about hitting civilian targets and still sticking with the nonsense about the bombers not hitting civilians. I'm struggling to find a likeable character in this series The effects are like the asylum made the series. I hope the budget was small because it certainly doesn't appear on the screen. This is going to be a struggle to finish.

Mediocre. Typical Apple TV fodder
7 February 2024
I'm going to be generous and give it a 6. Some of the acting and production such as costumes is pretty decent but some characters are flat and one dimensionsal. The CGI is pretty shocking in places and I struggle to see how the production could not pay some of the budget to capture a real b17 land and take off a couple of times rather than the terrible CGI. Lots of historical innacuraccies without being super picky. This is made for a popcorn generation who are happy to see stereotypes of either dick van dyke commoners or snobby posh British officers. The sound mix is poor and the show would rather show a hundred CGI explosions. It is basically redtails or greyhound. The show would rather have tropes and stereotypes. I 'm 3 episodes in and don't think I can finish this. Just watch Memphis Belle if you want some emption.

Shocking miscarriage of justice
26 November 2023
I think as other people have already stated you just need to watch the evidence which is in front of you . Shocking to see the evidence withheld from the jury. Unfortunately as was pointed out on the documentary this was a trial by public opinion and no juror was going to say not guilty when there is an angry mob waiting outside to burn the city down (again). Hopefully this documentary is seen by enough people and a retrial tekes place sooner rather than later because currently it is disgraceful to see the 4 officers currently in prison. It's a wonder any police officers remain in service in the US following that miscarriage of justice..

Gripping and moving story
10 September 2023
A well acted beautifully shot movie with some amazing performances all round especially the children who were very believeable. I find it disturbing the 1 star mainstream media reviews especially giving the universal praise for a film like Barbie. It's a film based on true events and even if like most films there has been some embellishment (Lone Survivor was just as guilty of this) it's still a very good fm with a moving storyline. If the entire film was fiction it would still be a great film in my eyes as it tells a moving story with a bit of hope in it. THe audio mix in my cinema appeared to be a little off and yet I still thought it was a great film as did my son.

Pity about season 3
7 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
First 2 seasons were very interesting with an alternative history at least based on historical events and using what might have been storylines. Ending of season 2 was gripping and with a moving storyline.

Then we get to season 3. Are you looking forward to seeing humans on Mars? Well we don't have much time for that as we have to fit in the gay president plot the gay astronaut plot the pregnant astronaut plot the drug addict astronaut the anti NASA extremist plot just to name a few. Any sense of reality with the space craft has also gone out of the window. Now you have North Koreans landing and living in what appears to be nothing bigger than a Soyuz capsule. We are concerned about the effects of micro gravity and radiation on your unborn baby so we are going to blast you into space on the top of a spacecraft! Series 4 has been given the go ahead apparently. Think I'll give it a miss.

Everyone needs to see this once
3 October 2022
I remember seeing it when I was younger but it was only watching it a few years ago as an adult with a family that I appreciated it..Truly filled with dread with a know in my stomach as the story progressed right up until the end. A gut punch of a film that all global leaders should be forced to watch. The acting is solid and the effects are good considering it was a relatively low budget made for TV movie. The plot and script make it showing the collapse of civilization following a nuclear strike. I would struggle to watch it again and it's not for those of a sensitive disposition but everyone should experience it at least once.

Enjoyable but terrible cgi effects
2 February 2019
This series seems to have hit the ground running more than first series. I am enjoying the characters and story but the cgi muzzle flashes and sparking ricochets in the shootouts are laughable and give the series a cheap look which is a shame as the rest of the series looks polished

Good effects terrible accents
1 December 2018
Some good effects and filmed scenes for the budget. But for god sake either have australian actors play australian soldiers or use British actors for british soldiers. The terible accents destroyed any ability to take the actors seriously. Also the germans did not usually spend all night plastering trenches with machine gun fire and artillery just to pick off the odd British wounded straggler! There was some honor amongst soldiers

Predators (2010)
5/10
very disappointing
21 July 2010
was really looking forward to this after the turkeys that were avp 1 and 2 alas i was to be disappointed again. as usual our group of expert killers are all the worst shots in history managing to blast away most of their ammunition at some rhino/dog crossbreeds missing most of the time.film had so many references to the first predator movie that it became a joke even ending with long tall sally playing on the credits.i could see no point in laurence fishburnes appearance as it was so brief.he appears with a predator cloaking suit and some fancy lazer weapon and proceeds not to use them for the rest of his brief appearance.the new predators look very comical and only the original style predator looked half decent.the film was only 1hr 45 mins and the predators play little part in the opening half which seemed to be a lot of character development.also it was a joke the way the characters decide 'yep we are on an alien planet being hunted its a game reserve we are the game blah blah blah with next to no real idea whats going on' the effects were poor.worse cgi explosion i have ever seen when Russian sets off his claymore like a giant ball of napalm i could go on and on about how many flaws were in the film.it was better than avp 1 and 2 but still not as good as first 2 predator films
