Perfection
16 June 2021
A comedy show performed as an act of theatre written, performed and directed by 1 genius.

This is hands down the most creative piece of TV I've ever watched and made all the more inspiring when you realize it was literally just one man and a camera stuck at home in a room during lockdown.

A vital piece of art that will be remembered for eternity.

Ageless Comedy
7 November 2020
I have many a memory watching this at home or at a relatives house when I was a young lad, and 30 years later it's still funny and charming.

It's an ageless comedy with 2 of the finest characters ever created in comedy sitcom history.

Honest and Gritty
10 November 2017
I felt compelled to give a review of this movie having read some of the others who slated it for no reason. For the budget that was allotted for it the show turned out to be one of the most enjoyable Irish movies ever made. It's dark and gritty from the start and doesn't hide from the audience the intended plot. The show fixates on the grand delusions of low end dealers in Dublin who really have no idea what they're getting in for. John as the central role plays his character to perfection and really holds the whole flick together. For a complete bunch of unknowns I take my hat off to them for being part of this rlly enjoyable drug based drama. Simple plot with expected finale but even though I knew what was coming that was OK. The film told us that from the offset. It doesn't hide itself from the plot. It's honest and gritty so just enjoy it for what it is.

The Dark Side of Dublin
19 October 2014
I rarely write reviews but I felt this show deserved one. I've watched many shows over the years from a range of different countries and it's intriguing to see how gangland wars and drugs are portrayed in each one.

When Love/Hate was aired first here in Ireland being quite I honest I fobbed it off mainly due to the fact that Ireland does not produce top quality TV and one of the main reasons would be budget. I put this show off for a couple of years until this year and I wanted to binge- watch the show like I do with some shows I find hoping to find a hidden gem. Being from Ireland its not hidden how and ever it IS a total gem. I'm proud to say Ireland has produced one of the greatest crime dramas ever.

The show is based upon Dublin's criminal underworld whereby it depicts drug addiction, squalor and violence of organised crime that has grown post Celtic tiger era in Ireland.

Darren Treacy (Robert Sheehan) returns to Dublin from Spain, spending time there while trying to avoid the Garda in Ireland for gun possession. Darren's brother Robbie is released from Cloverhill prison. While waiting to be collected, Robbie is shot outside a newsagents in a drive by shooting. Catastrophic events ignite tension among the drug gang, and family, friends and the community must live with the consequences.

The above is a synopsis of the first episode and immediately portrays how raw the show is.

Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (nidge) is amazing throughout. He is one of the most slimiest characters ever.

Watch it. I promise you, you won't be disappointed.

Class of 92 is simply class!!

Warning: Spoilers
I rarely write reviews for movies or TV shows that I've watched however I felt completely and utterly compelled to share what I thought about this documentary. Being in my late 20's I grew up supporting UTD so watching all my memories of my beloved football team being brought to a motion picture was just something I couldn't miss. This docu' is not just about the players themselves but also an insight into the life of Mancunians in the 90's era. My favorite all time band is the Stone Roses and their music is very prominent throughout making the viewing extra enjoyable. After about 10 minutes into the film I knew how it was going to culminate and of course it was any Manchester United favorite sporting memory- the famous treble. The screenplay leading up to finale of this movie gave me goosebumps as I can easily relive that momentus occasion in mind seeing the players and manager celebrate. As a massive supporter of this club this is a must see. I cannot fault it in any manner whatsoever so it gets a solid 10/10 for me.
