Two and a Half Men: Principal Gallagher's Lesbian Lover (2005)
Really?
This episode did have its funny moments. Charlie realizing what was really going on in Alan's chiropractic office was hilarious. However, the mom that Alan met with at the principal's office was not dressed appropriately. She's dressed in a top that leaves three-fourths of her breasts exposed while ranting about males ogling women's breasts. Very hypocritical on her part. She looks like she going to a nightclub to meet her next boyfriend. Then the generously endowed principal comes into the room leaving Alan feeling hopeless. He utters the phrase "Oh, God, my boy's gonna get the chair." Overall, a good episode.
Man with a Plan (2016)
Casting
I am a fan of anything with the fantastic Matt LeBlanc in it. This is no exception. My only issues are with Matt's TV wife, Lisa Snyder. I find her dry, uninspired and annoying. She's constantly plotting to get even with her husband because of some perceived slight. She's just not good. Matt's TV mom (Swoozie Kurtz) is good in most anything and she does it with great timing. His TV dad (Stacy Keach) is ok, nothing exceptional, but he's playing the most annoying character on TV. I can't think of anything else he's done except playing a gay man on Two & a half men. His character believes everyone should agree with him because he's old (and annoying). VERY annoying. Matt LeBlanc deserves so much more!
Haul Out the Holly (2022)
Horrible.....Just......Horrible!
Since I love Lacey's movies, I had no doubt I'd love this one. It starts with her immature jerk of a boyfriend, taking time off work to play virtual reality games, refusing to buy her a Christmas present and never wanting to have an adult conversation. She wants to go somewhere to be alone but her parents (who apparently hate her) talk her into coming home but neglect to tell her that they won't be there. The constant harassment to do this activity, join in this tradition, bake this, meet at 7:30am with the HOA, and refusing to give her a minute alone is anxiety producing. When people talk about stopping sexual harassment they so "no means no." Wonder why these fools don't understand that? Then you add to the cast the idiotic blonde amazon and you've got a movie that you can't turn off fast enough.
A Cozy Christmas Inn (2022)
What a MESS!
Christmas Under Wraps was wonderful! Hallmark's highest rated movie ever. This poor substitute had nothing going for it. Jodie's best friend was annoying and overbearing. Her boss (vivica fox) was even worse. Jodie didn't have near the chemistry with Andy as Candace Cameron Bure did. The characters were under-developed, boring and uninteresting. The scenery in CUW was perfect. It was so awful in this mess. Hallmark should NEVER make a movie that destroys another movie's "happily ever after". The happy ending is what draws us in to Hallmark movies. Did Hallmark fire all their competent writers and directors? Watched once. That was enough!
Mom: Chicken Nuggets and a Triple Homicide (2014)
Marjorie's character
I love watching Mom, however this is one of those rare episodes that paints Marjorie in a bad light. We usually see her as the leader of the group, giving great advice and solving everyone's problems. This time though, Marjorie is very selfish, manipulative and self-centered. Christy and Bonnie get a great opportunity to rent a fantastic country house causing them to move out of Marjorie's house. She doesn't like it when they leave so she devises a scheme to trick them into moving back. And no one suspected a thing. Overall, not a bad episode but the ending leaves us wondering how Marjorie could do such a thing.
Bewitched: Samantha's Secret Is Discovered (1970)
Hidden giveaway
This episode certainly had it's funny moments, but there was also a moment that paid homage to the show being shot in California, not Connecticut where the Stephens lived. When Sam goes to the 'rest home' to retrieve Mrs. Stephens, she allows the other patient to see oranges falling off, and back onto the tree. Orange trees don't grow in Connecticut but of course they do in California.
The Wedding Veil Legacy (2022)
Could Have Been Better
This was my least favorite of the Wedding Veil trilogy movies. Lacey Chabert's movie was exceptional, Autumn Reeser's was fantastic, but this one with Alison Sweeney was only fair. She tends to over act, probably from her years on a soap opera. However, my biggest complaint is that her face doesn't move. She has no facial expression. Botox or plastic surgery are probably to blame, but I find it extremely distracting.
My Christmas Family Tree (2021)
Perfect!
One of the best Hallmark Christmas movies I've seen in a while. Very well cast. Aimee was a breath of fresh air. Andrew was excellent. Very sweet story.
That '70s Show (1998)
Poor Eric
Parts of the show were good, but the way Red treated Eric made me sad. The poor guy was constantly put down, ridiculed, denied any sign that he was loved, and basically made to hate his life. Red treated Eric's friend Hyde much better. Why would any parent do that to their child? I'm surprised Eric didn't find a rifle and a clock tower. #StopTheBullying.
Yes Virginia, There Is a Santa Claus (1991)
Horrible
I went in to this movie with high expectations, but after watching the good guys be repeatedly beaten up, kicked and doused in beer by a bunch of thugs, I turned it off after about 15 minutes and deleted it from my DVR. Christmas movies should make you feel good, have a great message and nice music. This just made me want to cry. Don't waste your time. It's awful.
Chad (2021)
I can't even
I couldn't tell if this boy is gay, trans, or if a woman lost a bet and has to dress and act like a teen boy. Worst show I've ever seen. NO! JUST NO!
The Christmas House (2020)
Horrible movie
Multiple story lines cross over into a mess. No chemistry. Actors looked like they didn't want to be there. Awful. Won't watch again.
That Girl: The Defiant One (1969)
Worst episode of the series
Ann finds herself going out of her way to help a lying, conniving, thieving little con artist who plays her at every turn. The entire episode was horrible. Always manage to miss this one. Gave it 1 star because 0 wasn't an option.
That Girl: Bad Day at Marvin Gardens (1969)
Very childish
My favorite tv show most of the time but here Ann's father was an obnoxious jerk to his wife, his daughter and to daughter's boyfriend. He dissolved into a sniveling creep because he wasn't winning a game of Monopoly. At least he wasn't driving an hour into the city to make sure Don and Ann weren't having sex.
Christmas Town (2019)
Letters were not a blooper
Several reviewers noted that Lauren received a letter from her dad on her 16th birthday even though he passed away when she was 6. In one of her dad's letters he said he was sorry he couldn't be with her. At the beginning of the movie he was dizzy and almost fell off the ladder. He passed a few months later. He knew he was dying and wrote several letters to his daughter to be opened at various milestones in her life. I've known this to happen in real life. It never occurred to me that it was anything else.
Love Under the Rainbow (2019)
Lovely movie
Jodie Sweetin is fitting in to the Hallmark family nicely. She's made several movies including a couple of Christmas themed ones. Here, she plays an elementary school teacher with believable caring and compassion. This is a very nice romantic comedy with great scenery and characters that pull you in to the story. Nice way to spend a couple of hours.
Last Christmas (2019)
Don't bother
There are too many loose ends when this film mercifully ends. Was it a dream? How did she know him? Was he dead? Why is she such a thoughtless, inconsiderate b---h? Worst movie I've seen in a long time. Don't waste your money.
With Love, Christmas (2017)
Very cute movie
I've watched this movie several times and thoroughly enjoyed it. Emilie and Aaron have enough chemistry to make it work. The scenery is nice. My only complaint is that in the last scene when Emilie is in that gorgeous red lace dress, the wardrobe director should have told her she has a very noticeable panty line. Some form-fitting formal wear show everything and this is the perfect example. Other than that, I enjoyed the movie.
Sunnyside (2019)
Can't Take It
Please cancel this trainwreck and put it out of it's misery.
Bob Hearts Abishola (2019)
Don't bother
I gave it a chance but soon decided that life is too short to waste time on this drivel. Hope it's soon replaced with something worth watching.
Christmas Under Wraps (2014)
Wardrobe issues
No doctor, EVER, would go to work in a hospital wearing stilettos or wear them to walk in the snow. In this movie Candace does it every day. The nurse doesn't. It's ridiculous. She should have on a nice pair of flats. (I worked in a hospital for 20 years. I know what I'm talking about.) Someone really missed the mark.
When Calls the Heart (2014)
The devil is in the details
PLEASE do something about the characters' hair and makeup. It's distracting to watch a period piece (100 years ago?) with 2019 hair, makeup and wardrobe. You can do better.
Meet the Peetes (2018)
No, No, No!
Why did Hallmark think this reality show would work for them? Oprah cancelled them from her network. In one episode, she's planning an over-the-top birthday party for her mother. Seriously? This is supposed to be entertaining? In their 1st season, they lost 60% of the viewers from their popular lead-in show. That should tell you all you need to know. Any other network would have cancelled this trainwreck by now. Come on Hallmark! You can do so much better!
Christmas Everlasting (2018)
Don't bother
Very depressing. Don't waste your time with this poorly written drivel. No chemistry among the "actors" at all. Hallmark should have done a better job casting and directing.
Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa (2018)
Sequel problem
The original Christmas in Evergreen was excellent. It's become one of my favorite Christmas movies. This sequel, however, just didn't cut it. To eliminate Teddy Sears and minimize Ashley Williams was just wrong. Their acting made the first movie. I was excited to watch this movie, but it was a huge letdown. Don't care to watch again.
