UPDATE** I wrote the review below (and I'm man enough to leave it there) 10 years ago...back when I still believed in people and their word - I've had a change of heart. I don't believe Chris Kyle was ever a real hero, I now think that he was just a cold blooded killer with a mental problem and that's how he should be remembered; there I said it. I too fell into the entire rah rah B. S. that most red-blooded, ex-military American men do...it was easy being a proud American and for decades I 'd stand by that alone and challenge anyone about my patriotism. However, ever since January 6th 2021...something died inside me. You see...I do believe in freedom and the fundamental rights of all people...not just the ones who some (Like the GOP) deem worthy...ALL PEOPLE! I'm no liberal, but I refuse to step on the necks of those who just want to be heard or to have a life for themselves and their family. I'm ashamed of the people that I once stood behind and have spent the last 3 years trying to make it right! Read the reviews...believe what you want...at least you have that freedom - enjoy it. I wish you all Peace and a good life.
My previous review: If you enjoy your freedom and aren't afraid to see and admit to how it is actually enforced...then I suggest you go see this movie. Ignore the negative reviews you read here...most are written by either foreigners, pacifists, or liberals with no clue. I thought it was well-written and acted; its a true story of an American Hero! Some will say that Chris Kyle was a cold blooded killer...this is so far from the truth it makes me sick that others believe and say that. I say to those who have NEVER served or...have never had to fight to stay alive...or have done a damn thing to defend your country - I hope you get to visit the Middle East some day and get a taste of what its like to live in fear.
