In general these days, remakes and reboots are out of hand. But these "heroes" save for Mary are "super" annoying. Wisdom of Solomon? I'd settle for the wisdom of..."Stewie." I can't believe Helen Mirren signed on for this.

The plot was ridiculous, the characters even more so. The acting was clownish at best. This movie was cringe (and I don't like that term but it fits here).

A total and complete reboot is needed. Currently there's nothing here to be taken seriously. Best things in the entire movie was the 2 second cameo by the "original Billy Batson," and a shouted by a little girl product tagline with a cutoff expletive.

This was a film strictly for children age 14 and under. You cannot merge this franchise with anything that is remotely serious in nature. What a complete disappointment.

This movie was a fun ride and action-packed. The story was easy enough to follow, and the entire plot was what I anticipated. It's a device to introduce a new character, establish a backstory, establish a "modus operandi" of sorts, introduce the Justice Society characters, reveal threats, disclose power-levels, and of course involve the nefarious Amanda Waller. A lot to accomplish, but even though done at breakneck speed, it served it's purpose. Whet our appetite for bigger and better ongoing "Super" things.

My only BIG complaint was that they introduced one of my favorite DC comics characters, picked the perfect person to play him, and then he's dead. WTH????? They sealed Dr. Fate's fate before it was really unsealed! He could've easily have commanded his own movie. But...oh nevermind. Rant over.

The story was solid. The visuals VERY good. The professional critics? Full of it. Just because THEY seem to have superhero fatigue, and Rock fatigue, doesn't mean everyone does. Just like a movie can be also marketed by stealth methods (not what happened here), there are ways to torpedo it by stealth too (which I think did happen). I'm a marketing director (including digital, social, and analytics), there's a lot of tricks to this trade.

I was too busy to go see it in theaters. My mistake. But I bought it the day it became available for download and watched it. I'll be watching it again VERY soon. Give it a chance people, you'll dig it, unless you're looking for some cinematic masterpiece instead of just wanting to be entertained. Aldis Hodge was great too.
