Ex Machina (2014)
I can see parallels with feminism (No spoilers but some might think so)
For some reason, the theme of the movie seems to be analogous to how feminism rose. If feminism is a humanoid, it would be the eponymous character. I can see 'n' no. of parallels with how the philosophy evolved and how it engulfed its benefactors. One may not feel the same way but it is one's own pejorative.
Kiseijû: Sei no kakuritsu (2014)
A ten
This is by far the best anime series I watched. Each episode is interesting and continually progresses towards the next. There are no fillers. It is better to do an anime, which is a master piece like "Parasyte- The Maxim" than an Anime which lasts 10 years with enormous amount of fillers.
The best part of the series is the lead. Izumi, starts out as your average high school guy but doesn't overdo it like many (Eg Naruto,Bleach,One Piece). Instead, he stands firm and fights as required. The characterization describes him as some times erratic in decision making. And also, feminist motifs are brushed aside to make the story consistent and natural.
The anime has good story, action and characterization free from filth. This anime deserves a 10.
Potential spoiler: However, I gave a 9 for a particular reason. In the last episode, one of the decisions taken by the protagonist struck me as inconsistent given his experience in taking on enemies. Watch it and know it for yourselves.
Bala Bharatam (1972)
Excellent movie
The movie emphasizes on the childhood adventures of various heroes as depicted in Mahabharata. Only a plant could be bent the way it is supposed to. On the other hand if you let it go, the consequences would have to be endured. The story also hints us the effect of bad/ wicked people on children (No! I am no way referring to the American style "Bad Company"!!) . The individual traits of both Kauravas and Pandavas have been thoroughly worked out before putting them on screen. The acting of the kids is simply superb. The movie was released in 1972. The director should be named a prodigy given the realistic graphics all made possible without the help of digital photography. Brilliant piece of work.
