Deep Fear (2023)
Only good for background noise
I'm a fan of shark movies, especially when it involves scuba diving (two things I enjoy in real life). I knew the reviews were low going into this, but figured I'd give it a shot. Not everyone is a fan of shark movies so I'm never surprised when they rate low. I shouldn't have. I was tempted to shut it off, especially at the abysmal halfway point, but forced myself to stick around until the end. It was only good for background noise. The sharks were absolutely laughable. This movie was not remotely scary. Nor was it even interesting. Definitely not worth a watch. Spare yourself and skip this one.
The Passage (2019)
Better than I imagined - I really enjoy this show
I am not into things like vampires. There are very few shows or movies involving vampires that I can say I actually enjoyed. The Passage is one of them. I went into watching this as "oh great, something about vampires this will probably be silly" but boy was I wrong. I find that I am excited every week for a new episode and that I'm entertained. I want to know more about what is going on and what will happen and that, to me, is what makes a TV show great.
(PS - also never read the books)
S.W.A.T. (2017)
Season 2, what is going on?
I really enjoyed this series last season, but this season (2) is ridiculous. I'm not one of those viewers that wants everything to be exactly like real life. I understand that sometimes shows take liberties with how things really work due to entertainment value. However, from the dangling off the helicopter in s2 episode 1 and running through a horse race track during a race in s2 episode 2 things are getting so unrealistic it is not enjoyable to watch and I find myself rolling my eyes and not enjoying the show. So far this season I've also felt a lack of connection between characters that there was last season. Hopefully things get better because I do really enjoy some of these actors and season 1 was really good with some intriguing story lines.
9-1-1 (2018)
Entertaining and exciting
I absolutely love this show. I like the plot and I really enjoy the cast. I was unsure of how things were going to work after Britton left, but I am loving the new dynamic. Is 9-1-1 100% realistic? Absolutely not. Neither are the crime shows. Neither are the law shows (trust me you don't want them to be). If you are going to nit pick every single thing that isn't like real life and exclaim to yourself "how dare they" then don't watch this show. If you can sit back and enjoy it for what it is, which is a scripted TV show, then I think you'll love it. I like that all the stories intertwine and it isn't just a show about firefighters or a show about LEO... it shows the camaraderie between all facets of emergency responders.
Station 19 (2018)
Dull
I really wanted to enjoy this show, but I think I'm going to give up on it. The characters aren't engaging, the story lines are dull (make something burn, go save them, go back to the station, rinse and repeat), and it is not entertaining. Big disappointment.

Great Movie For Horse Lovers
If you love horses, and have a dream to one day win that big competition then this is the movie for you. The pessimist who left us with a notion that this movie was "boring" and "pointless" obviously has no idea what it is like to finally be able to own a horse, compete against people who care of nothing BUT competing (ie: NOT the welfare of their horse), and be able to outdo them and put them in their place. Yes the fences are only 2' high, but the basic concept is the same whether you are soaring over 5' fences in the Olympics or competing at one of your first shows. I absolutely adored this movie and I'm pretty sure than any true horse loving person would.
