The Christmas Tree (1991 TV Movie)
Enjoyably Bad
11 January 2014
Warning: Spoilers
If you want a fun and exciting Xmas special for kids, don't show this. If you want a Ed Wood style unintentional comedy, you've come to the right place. Made from some Italian animation studio(Filmarion Ferraria), this film contains animation ripped of from other, more prominent studio that looks more appealing on the side of an ice-cream van. Since this film has poor animation, laughably painful content and a Italian directing credit, I am reminded of Titanic the legend goes on. This is one these films where there so bad yet so enjoyable at the same time, by comparison, Adam Sandler's schlock-fest Eight Crazy Nights is much better that this pile of cinematic trash. Still, at least its better than the Rankin Bass specials.

Move over Manos this is the Worst Film Ever Made
9 January 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This is awful. It's a ungodly mess of a film in all aspects. It's got a confusing plot, dire acting, obnoxious cinematography, despicable characters and worst of all its an enjoyable experience it makes A Serbian Film look like Muppets In Space, not because its controversial but because it's one of the most terrible films put to celluloid. If you liked the first one, I would recommend NOT renting this or buying for that matter. If your a film student then this should be an example of what not to do. If you enjoy watching bad films for enjoyment (like me) then congratulations you have found the Holy Grail. The only redeeming feature of this film is that it didn't spawn a sequel.

Good but overrated
5 January 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This is one of the few examples of a film where Arnold Schwarzenegger pulls of a good performance, as an emotionless cyborg. And that isn't sarcasm I really mean Arnie pulls off an excellent performance. The film is essentially divided into two sections. One is where Arnie's T-800 goes on a LA wide killing spree, which is the best part. The second section on the other hand is packed with Jim Cameronesque preachy symbolism and dull to lifeless performances by supporting characters. The epicentre of this A bomb of underacting is Michael Biehn's dreadful performance as Kyle Reese. Biehn joins Hayden Christiansen and Ahmed Best in my personal collection of terrible performances in a sci-fi film. He seems to have an emotionless quality to his acting that makes half of the film unbearable. Apart from that, the film is brilliant and I thoroughly recommend seeing it.
