Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story (2023)
amazing
As a huge fan who followed JB since he joined F1 and watched the 2009 season including being at the British Grand Prix this was the season in F1 that I have loved the most,
The brought that all back. A fantastic documentary with interviews with everyone and what an most excellent host in Mr Reeves, this brought all that memory and drama back.
Even if you know very little about F1 this really is a true underdog story,
brilliant.
Even the story about the FOTO breakaway was explored well and the sly behaviour of Bernie and the smartness of the Brawn legal lady was great to see see unfold,
totally recommend.
Mentiras (2020)
2nd series ruined by Katherine Kelly
Where I like Katherine Kelly in most things, here she plays a cop who is quite unlikeable in terms of how she treats the suspects. Awful portrayal of a DI, poor.
Silent Witness: Brother's Keeper: Part 1 (2021)
Dire
Why introduce a mew character Adam then kill him off and introduce a new assistant., just to tick the diversity card and it was so obvious which after many years and excellent seasons with many characters this was fire.
Jools's Hootenanny (1993)
Awful
What is the point of recording a show for New Year and then fake as if it's live. Go watch a proper live NYE event
Dad's Army: The Lost Episodes (2019)
Well done Wilson
How hard is it to play a character that is well established and loved.
The whole cast did very well and I enjoyed the 3 episodes.
There was lots of money and top names thrown at the recent film version which was not good unlike this low key re make of original scripted episodes, really enjoyed it so well done to the makers and shame on the bbc for losing the original episodes
Black Mirror: Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too (2019)
Entertaining
Although not a good Black Mirror by Black Mirror standards .it was enjoyable. Image Hannah Montana mixed with Ted then you have the plot
Black Mirror: Smithereens (2019)
Outstanding
What a great message on dangers of phones and driving, tragic outcome and really left a Lump in my throat. Great episode
The Favourite (2018)
Dissapointing until last 15 mins
I was very disappointed by this film. And the typical overhyped Oscar buzz!! This is not best picture material,
Performances were good and Olivia Coleman was very good especially as the poorly Anne in the last 20 mins
The story had good potential with the rival between Emma Stones and Rachel Weiss character and as the queen realised that Abigail is not all she appears be.
Last shot was just too long and trying to be dramatic but was just stupid, the film just ends!!! The whole cinema was just confused at this point!
What would have made a good movie was what happened next and how the queen deals with Abigail and brings back Sarah,
But to be honest it was not!!
So not worth a watch. There is a good movie from the story but this was only half explored,
The Lake House (2006)
An enchanting novie
I must have missed this when released and came accrues this movie tonight
Really enjoyable and believable characters, well done to the cast
I admit the plot holes and issues with the time travel part, but actually it's a good old fashioned love story that does keep you guessing till the end!!
Interstellar (2014)
What A Journey
I watched this film twice at the cinema when it was released and many more times on Blu Ray since
Each time I am taken on one amazing journey across the universe, yes the last 20 mins of the film is a bit bonkers but I didn't mind in the least.
As much as the film is about space travel we see the emotional journey and connection between father and daughter, and everytime I watch this I am moved by the pain both go through of being apart.
To me this is one of the best Sci Fi films made in recent years
Bliss (2017)
Just Awful
I've now watched 5 episodes of this programme, it's not funny at all, just cringeworthy, you feel no sympathy for Andrew, just a cheating husband who will end up hurting his families.
Rubbish
