The Family Plan (2023)
I would advice you to take the title literally..
I'm a close to 40 year old man and I can tell you I'm not the target audience for this flick watching it alone.
The movie is korny and boring amounts of predictable but I managed to watch it through just waiting for some 'ha ha' for adults too.
This sadly never came to fruition but the movie is watchable if you have to do it with your 10'yr old kid on a saturday family night.
Charecters were build up descently well and the acting from the main cast was quite good. Even thought the side plots were tied together pretty nicely.
The combat scenes were just not believable for any adult to watch but as a family time killer it's not a horrendeously bad flick either.
Sadly for adults it's a snoozefest and the real ha ha's never come..
Black Adam (2022)
What happened to scifi?
What ever happened to scifi/action genre? Nowadays it seems like no movie can be focused towards adults as they require to write in a spotty teenager with an instagram account to sell tickets.
There are a lot of movies that don't need to be R rated and still are cabable of being good time for adults and kids. But then again a movie for adults requires a plot of some kind and they probably had none after paying the Rocks salary.
This movie has certainly been made a thousand times before. Only twist is that now the backstory and charecter arch of the main protagonist can be written on a starbucks napkin.
They tried so hard to be funny too but even that felt like an open mic at an elementary school.
I rarely write these things but this was so bad I had to do it.
If you can grow pubic hair this movie is not for you.
Chernobyl (2019)
Watched it 3 times already..
Masterfully depicted mini series of one of the most horrifying modern era disasters.
I have only one complaint: series could have added even more detail and depth by adding a couple of episodes. The story deserves no corners to be cut and I was left wanting more..
Still can't give anything less than 10/10 to this masterpiece.
Peppermint (2018)
This is how you do it!
Now this is how you create a female action star!
It has nothing to do with social politics. Just a strong storyline with a strong lead like Jennifer combined with solid film making.
Plotline is simple yet intreaging and the dark athmosferic mood created throughout the film is really fitting to the main charecter.
Riley played by Jennifer Garner is a ruthless and skilled killer with one mission in mind. The film was a joy to watch and I wish it would have been just a tad longer for some even deeper charecters to evolve.
Black Mirror: Striking Vipers (2019)
Possibilities are endless .. and scary..
Really makes you think about "lifelike virtual reality" and what it is going to bring in the future. Episode makes you think about the current social media and internet time we are living and that VR might be taking useven deeper in to the rabbithole in the not so far future.
I loved the episode and black mirror is coming back strong in the season 5.
GREAT Acting and the plotline is simple yet really interesting all the way through.
The Grand Tour: International Buffoons Vacation (2019)
Overscripted and badly acted.
Such a shame that these three feel the need to act everything. They are trying so hard to commercialize the comradery between these three that they result in faking absolutely everything.
I'm still a fan but this creation is not even close to believable. Every joke every situation is totally planned out and it shows badly.
Suits: This Is Rome (2014)
GOT LITT UP!
Rick Hoffmans performance in this episode is believable, powerful, jaw droppingly stunning! He took me on a ride and for a moment I completely forgot who I am where I am and got wholeheartedly scared of being in the receiving side of Louis's rage.
Pure gold.
