Sound of Metal (2019)
Sound of Stillness
It is not about metal. It is not about music. It is not about hearing. It is not about being deaf. It is about finding stillness. The sound of stillness.
Supernova (2020)
Universal Love
We are made of different stars. We are made of different galaxies. We are made of love. We are made for love. We are made to love. Let love be with you.
News of the World (2020)
An Orphan and Storyteller's Path
A warm-hearted story of two human beings who both know what loss is. They found each other in despair and sorrow which grew into strong companionship at first. And into a much stronger connection afterwards. Each of them had followed their own path until it turned out that this journey was meant to be gone together.
Nomadland (2020)
No Mad Land
It is a movie dedicated to those who seem to be outcasts for others. But in reality it is about those who intentionally choose their own way of being. These people have a variety of feelings, such as loss, grief, or loneliness. Nomads are certainly not mad at someone or something from their past but rather supportive and compassionate to those who lost their path. Although they might say that a vehicle is their home, their true home is within, thus everywhere. What unites all of them is what every one of us is eager to get - freedom.
If you want to take a peek at how a human's life could look outside standards of living imposed by the majority I'd definitely recommend watching this picture.
The Boys (2019)
Mind-Blowing Supes
After watching The Boys your attitude to superheroes is going to be changed undoubtedly. Marvel or DC will not rehabilitate it. This is a masterpiece.
Soul (2020)
Life Meaning in Eternities
The whole movie could be described as the quote of Henry David Thoreau: "Read not the Times, read the Eternities".
The Queen's Gambit (2020)
Obsessed Beth with Chess
She finds herself in this game of pieces and this is her life. Beth is not interested almost in anything else except this addiction to pawns and squares. Any one of us encounter similar things in life. While some sacrifice everything in order to get another win, others decide to not burden themselves with such an impermanent moment as a victory. She opts suffering, both mental and physical. She opts impermanence.
There is a space for compassion to this incredible story of an extremely smart female genius who is totally obsessed with chess. Ultimately, it is up to every one of us what to choose if you were The Queen/King of Gambits.
Uncle Frank (2020)
Embracing Yourself Frankly
Every human being is trying to find a place among others in this world. And not always this way is easy and conventionally accepting.
Frank, the main character, is not an exception while he is trying to find his own true north. No matter how tough and cruel surroundings might be.
You might find this story tremendously compelling. I wish everyone would have such uncle as a person.
The movie is absolutely spectacular and recommended undoubtedly.
Love, Victor (2020)
Love, Yourself
Incredibly wonderful series about trying to explore yourself, which eventually is coming to love yourself.
Absolutely recommend it to watch anyone. Especially to those who is familiar with moments in life when you really don't know who or what you are, but trying persistently to figure it out.
