Hannibal: Naka-Choko (2014)
You don't know how good this episode is until you go back to it.
Hannibal was always a clever show.
This episode can seem a little confusing the first time through, but when you watch it again when you really know what is going on, you see it's true brilliance.
Batman vs. Robin (2015)
One of the better films in the DC Animated Universe.
Taking influence from The works of Scott Snyder as well as Grant Morrison, this film is well put together. It's Honest about what it is, and executes a father and son conflict well, in the context of Batman. This makes the story on a different level, relatable to viewers.
Batman: Gotham by Gaslight (2018)
A mix between Mignola's Batman and Moore's From Hell
The source material from which the title came would have been doable, but possibly not the same. With similar titles like Batman: Hush I found myself quite upset that it wasn't a direct adaptation. In this case, though it was not the same, I found the film to be quite enjoyable, with a few little pet peeves that are not too prominent to be ignored.
I would say this film goes more towards Alan Moore's From Hell when it comes to plot, but makes it fit as a Batman story. Which may not be satisfactory to everyone, but doesn't mean the film is not well put together.
Batman: Hush (2019)
If it wasn't advertised as an adaptation it would have been better.
Jeph Loeb's Batman:Hush is one of the most inherently cinematic Batman comics out there. The comic is masterfully put together, and for years people have been waiting for an adaptation to par with that of Dark Knight Returns. All the key elements that made the hush story special were either changed or not even present in this film, other than Joker being innocent. A complex and thought out plot was simplified, and it's disappointing as a fan.
That said, if they changed the title and Didnt advertise it as an adaptation, I feel as though it would have been received better as a different take on hush meant for the DC Animated Universe.
