The Son (2022)
There is no point
The Son is an extremely well acted yet hopeless and gut wrenching depiction of mental health and its effects on the sufferer and everyone who loves them. There is no growth here. There is no hope. There is no real lesson to learn. Just two hours of tragic heartbreak with no purpose other than to be heartbreaking, tragic and sensational, and then a father who never should have been one. If you have or love someone who struggles with mental health, this is not film for you. I personally wish I had never watched this, and that I read the reviews first going in. It is as heartbreaking as it is angering, and emptying in a way that I can't express.
Crazy Delicious (2020)
New spin on cooking shows
The show is beautiful and creative. A fun spin on the standard cooking show. The judges are great. The host is funny and warm, but the show could really do without her self deprecating fat jokes.
Us (2019)
What did I just watch?
Illogical and ridiculous. Absolutely a waste of time and without a doubt the very worst movie I have ever seen. Do not waste your time.
Someone Great (2019)
It's beautiful
I am confused by all the negative ratings. I think anyone who has experienced true heart break can appreciate this movie. This film showcased a beautiful love, the ups and downs, the hardships and choices that happen when two people share their love together, and then ultimately, the end. No it isn't your typically happy ending film, but the love between these two was special, and the relationship between these three girls, well it's what we all want. People in our corner, who support us, and hold us up when we need it.
