This movie has a clear political agenda and is definitely not a fictional story with 2 sides competing based on moral values. Which would have been a good movie.

It reminds me of "Law Abiding Citizen" where the main character tried to change the american justice system by committing various attacks. In this movie on the other hand, there is no silver lining, no explanation about the terrorist motivations.

The message from this movie can be summarized in 3 points:

1- torture glorification: the movie tries to convince the audience that anybody would resolve to torture in some circumstances. Besides its obvious immorality, Guantanamo is perfect proof that torture never works. Zero valuable information from 700 prisoners tortured.

2- collective punishment is authorized: it outlines several times that family and friends of alleged terrorists can be punished and even tortured.

3- human rights are not universal: multiple examples in the movie.

The movie fails in so many ways...hence the flop! Don't be fooled by the high rating from some fanatics...

The movie takes forever to start. No suspense at all! I almost fell asleep....!

I don't know who is rating it 9/10?! Definitely bots that did not watch it. How can someone who watched the previous movies like this one?

Denzel is overacting every scene and it gets annoying. Not all movies are oscar material!!! He was overdoing it even for basic interactions..

I am as disappointed by this movie as I was eager to watch it...and I really enjoyed the first 2 movies.

The pace was so bad that it impacted everything else including acting.

The entire series is ruined now. Will not watch any sequels unfortunately!

reading some ignorant reviews about Arsene Lupin and how he should not be Black! nothing in the movie says Omar Sy is Arsene lupin, he is literally reading about Arsene Lupin to copy his tactics in 21st century.

And even if it was the case, nothing wrong with having a Black Arsene Lupin, who is merely a fictional character...White actors play non white characters all the time: Aladdin, Prince of Persia, Jesus, Noah...stop the nonsense.

white actors even play non-white people biographies, in "A Mighty Heart" 2007: Angelina Jolie played Mariane Pearl, the wife of kidnapped journalist Daniel Pearl. Pearl is a French-born woman of Afro-Cuban descent; Jolie appeared to darken her skin and alter her hair for the role.

Excellent storytelling, focusing more on protagonists thoughts rather than action. Bad reviews are expected, as this movie is clearly political. Emphasizing on power and religion at that time, and how both were entangled. This movie's message still resonates today, religion is still a business and the powerful are still using it. The biggest takeaway for me is that, adversaries can have the same moral values, and they knowingly choose to disregard them in the name of winning. Once one has the power, one confuses it with his pride.

Decent movie, entertaining without any wow effects.

It could have been better with a little bit more work from all production aspects.

It does not matter if you are into horror genre or not, you should watch this unique movie.

I was surprised by the flawless acting of the entire cast. The director managed to seamlessly blend in Drama, Horror and a bit of Comedy.

So much deeper than usual Drama.

Acting, editing, scenario, music...ALL film making aspects are Oscar material.

reminds me of Tarantino movies minus the blood...! hesitated between 9 and 10.

The reason behind its success is the ability of the cast to be relatable. we have the impression that we are living their adventures. Bateman is just a born actor, you can't teach his acting in school...! so natural. the rest of the cast is almost at the same level. writing is a bit predictable and should not be implying that woman are irrational as we ve seen throughout the last season. hence 9 /10

Acting is the key in this movie. the cast is very solid and gave a good performance. writing and directing is a bit below the 1st movie but still a good effort. what the rest of the reviewers don't understand, is that this kind of movies is for a certain audience. And trust me, plenty of fans out there...

They could not have done it better. for the game fans, this movie is a real adaptation, nothing lost in translation.

Gave me hope again in French cinema. watch it with your eyes closed!

This movie manages to create a unique atmosphere where the viewer changes perspective continuously. very entertaining.

This movies is on spot. excellent acting, well tailored real story and with a real Ending. makes you wonder if we really need imagination to make decent movies...I usually don't like real stories nor biographies but this one had me believe in the genre again.

The editing could have made it way better! the twist is reveled too soon. There was no time for the viewer to have doubts about the what's and the who's and the when's...

The movie didn't have a serious enough tone given the tragedies it contained. A darker atmosphere could also have improved the feel of tension naturally enabled by the story.

Nothing special about this movie but I find critics a bit harsh. acting is decent, story has a good twist. it sure does not match japanese horror genre but it's still fairly entertaining.

Recommend watching this movie if you are a fan of survival genre. it has a good mix of everything and makes you think about what's really important.

Leaving part of the story for audience imagination is a subtle art.

Some people would be content with 90% of the plot, others with 80%...! opening the door for their imagination to craft infinite possibilities of the remaining 20%.

I would categorize these type of movies as a stand alone genre. the rational behind it being the statisfaction of solving a riddle, the entertaining process of creating a personal and private fantasy...etc.

This movie on the other hand is...(please think of something, I leave it to your imagination)
