The whole film felt like a mini-opera and thus captures the life of artists and their struggles in an intimate way. The interpersonal relationships (especially the one between the main protagonist Enrico and his manager) are captivating and beautifully portrayed. The score and camera work create a unique atmosphere, helping to feel the psychological struggles Enrico goes through.
