Manifest: Final Descent (2023)
Season 4, Episode 11
Weak Writing Throughout This Final Half
11 June 2023
This show has never been good, entertaining yes, but definitely not good. Angelina's storyline got boring by that one episode where she wanted to be like Olive. The final season really suffers from this character and she is not even well-written, she is simply a maniac, not more, not less. It's frustrating. The storyline of this final half as a whole is somewhat boring and many writing choices feel off. Especially this episode 11 is full of boring, badly written scenes that lead to nowhere. Already watched the finale and I'm glad that it didn't suck! We got closure and that's what every TV show needs.

The Night Agent: Fathers (2023)
Season 1, Episode 10
Netflix, is that you?
31 March 2023
What a nice surprise, no cliffhanger ending. And what a bombastic final episode! This show literally came out of nowhere. The first couple of episodes have some writing issues here and there, but it doesn't really hurt as the pacing, acting and directing are great.

I'm surprised that Netflix decided to wrap up 95% of the storyline. They usually leave us (cliff) hanging only to cancel the show for good and most of the time for no reason. Season 2 is already announced and I'm here for it!

This show has a rare trend: It gets better with each episode and each new character that is introduced. Plus, the pacing is fantastic.

The Night Agent: Fathoms (2023)
Season 1, Episode 6
Impressive
24 March 2023
Even though Rose with the log cracked me up, this was such a great episode. The stakes are high, the tension is immense. There is even a showdown between two key-characters, that's how good the pacing of this show is.

Netflix really surprised me with this one. It came literally out of nowhere. The acting is also pretty good - Eve Harlow yet again shines in her role. She is an underused actress, in my opinion.

I wonder where Maddie is. Episode 7 will answer this, I'm sure. Both story arcs are thrilling and interesting, which is rare in this genre. Can't wait for the last few episodes! Great binge.

The Night Agent: The Marionette (2023)
Season 1, Episode 5
Genuinely surprised
24 March 2023
Even though I liked the first couple of episodes, I couldn't help but notice some poor writing choices here and there. This fifth episode is not perfect either, but I'm genuinely surprised that the characters and their arcs are actually interesting (yes, same goes for Ellen and Dave). I didn't expect that when I watched the pilot. This show is a great binge and thankfully it's not too short. The episode length is perfect and there's enough time to build characters and tension. So far, this little show is a welcome surprise and I'm really enjoying myself with it! Hopefully the rest of the season won't disappoint.

The Walking Dead: Family (2022)
Season 11, Episode 23
Loved It, Still Confused About The Troopers
7 November 2022
The armor of the troopers has the worst writing. Why are they even wearing that if it doesn't safe you from walkers at all? Plus, the herd entered the Commonwealth way too fast. The army must've had enough time to clear the walkers. But other than that... I loved this episode. Our group is so badass in this! I'm a bit nervous for the finale though. They didn't finish the Commonwealth arc in this penultimate episode, which I hoped for. So let's see what they bring to the table next week.

Btw, I really love Eugene as a character ever since season 9. Josh portrays him so well! "Family" was another great episode for him!

Chesapeake Shores: L-O-V-E (2022)
Season 6, Episode 5
Unnecessary Bree Drama
28 September 2022
It didn't fit Bree's character to cause drama like that. Poor Luke, honestly. One can only hope that they don't mess this relationship up because of this childish moment.

Season 6 feels a bit off at times, there are too many characters missing in some episodes. Grandma not being around without any explanation (or did I miss it?) also doesn't feel right. Maybe she's on vacation with that Arthur guy from season 5? I'm well aware that they wanted to protect the actress (Covid), but it's sloppy writing to write her off just like that - one little sentence in episode 1 would've been enough.

But overall I can say that this still is the Chesapeake Shores I adore. The scenery is simply beautiful and I love these characters.

I wonder how this season will be wrapped up - hopefully in a satisfying way.

Nice Little Point & Click
26 May 2022
I had a good time with this game! The voice acting is pretty good, the puzzles are challenging enough, the visuals are stunning and the story is solid. I loved all these little easter eggs as well - the developers obviously love the adventure genre!

A few scenes killed the flow, though. There are moments where Milda has to repeat actions all over again (e.g. In the library). In addition, I don't understand why they didn't include the option to let Milda run with a double-click. I also feel like this game should've been longer. Some arcs fell short and therefore this game was overall lacking in depth (compared to Broken Sword and Syberia). And what I really don't understand are these "zoom-in" attempts during dialogue - the background looks so bad in these scenes and it really destroys the good atmosphere of the game (maybe a patch can fix this).

All in all, a nice little point & click adventure game. I will definitely play it again. Big fan of this genre!

Cool as Ice (1991)
Thank You Jaime French
26 May 2022
Thank you for warning us with your review. This movie is a sad joke. Who wrote this? Who edited this? At least it's fun to watch, I guess. Vanilla Ice is cool and all but this movie is garbage.

Ann May is Creepy!
23 May 2022
This movie is good and all but what's up with Ann May (who plays Miss Gaunt) and her interesting face? It will haunt me forever, especially in these darker scenes when her eyes are shining through my soul. Kinda fascinating, I admit it.

Syberia: The World Before (2022 Video Game)
What a wonderful game!
10 April 2022
This is a perfect adventure game and a worthy successor! Kate Walker's character has never been so alive, as we get to know a lot about her past. The graphic's are stunning and the puzzles are perfectly embedded into the story. It might be a bit too easy for experienced point&click fans, but I think it's alright. What I actually didn't expect is the very high quality of this game: The facial expressions during dialogue are superb, the presentation as a whole is simply wonderful! I also love the score, really adds to the atmosphere... I also have to mention some hilarious scenes with Kate's partner in crime - loved every bit of it!

Way better than episode 2, very good last 5 minutes!
18 October 2020
I'm enjoying myself with this show while 90% of the viewers really hate it. I can understand that, episode 2 was far from being a good installment of this show. Episode 3, however, delivers some decent character moments, good scenes with walkers and - as I mentioned in the title - a very intriguing last scene. I hope they will show us more from the CRM people in these upcoming episodes!

Great episode for Al's character
1 July 2019
I really liked this episode, especially the character development for Al. Getting some info from the character's past life is always something I appreciate! Good stuff. I read that Sarah Wayne Callies (Lori from TWD) directed this episode - but the credits told me otherwise, Michael E. Satrazemis directed it. He did a decent job!

Bababooe? Just lay off and leave.
25 June 2019
Dear Bababooe, Your skills to write reviews are a delight but I guess we finally get it: You love to hate on everything and it's getting boring and annoying at the same time. If you hate the TWD universe so much, why bother to waste your time with it? Let the people who are still enjoying these shows have a good time with it and stop bothering us with your bloated, hateful reviews. Just lay off and leave. Please.
