Slice of life with plenty of twists!
27 March 2018
Each story described in the film has a twist, possibly a couple of you would even think about what it is, however the way it has been described by Arjun Mukerjee, that is absolutely commendable. I haven't seen any film where the surprise element in the story has been described so unpretentiously without going emotional.

The main issue here is that while the screenplay in the first half is tight and connecting, the second half loses it's grasp a bit particularly in the last story. In any case, the film figures out how to shock us indeed in the peak, a turn that none of us anticipated.

While narration is great, and screenplay could have been somewhat better, one office where the film gets full marks is the acting department!

Dil Juunglee (2018)

Partly flawed, partly touchy
27 March 2018
'Dil Juunglee' is certainly not faultless. Aside from the way that it has just the same old thing to offer, it often times lost its pace. Indeed it has its own particular scenes of cleverness, however that is not reliable either. It could be well cut short by 15 more minutes.

In any case, Saqib and Taapsee's colorful acting gifts life to the story. With her wide, honest glares, with the delicateness that she talks with and with the common warmth that she conveys, Taapsee's character in the first half will strike you at the right places. Saqib has deserted his swaggy self for this one. His characteristic and his articulation vouch for that. While the story itself could raise, these two performing artists are as honest to goodness as they could get.

Raid (2018)

A raid that you see coming!
27 March 2018
All things considered, leading the greatest raid ain't a simple thing as the authorities uncovering gold coins and unbounded notes from divider roofs, sewers et cetera. Yet, it gets repetitive when all that the story sticks to is demonstrating the raid unfurl gradually. While there were a couple of scenes that evoked chuckles and applauds, the plot didn't appear to have anything different. Likewise, IT officials directing the raid obediently reminded us of Neeraj Pandey's 'Special 26' where Akshay Kumar held the reins. Be that as it may, this raid does not have a similar profundity and power and just restricts itself to seem to be a verbal contention between a genuine IT officer and a degenerate lawmaker. You can foresee the result and that itself is the place the story misses out on some brownie points. While Ajay Devgn's turn as the courageous IT officer may inspire his fans, we believe it about time he reevaluates himself. On a parting note , don't go in expecting something much excessively charming, yet keep your ears open for some great dialogues!

Catch this at your own risk!
27 March 2018
Bollywood's spell with comedy appears to be extremely soaked now and again. This film is another case of every great story turning out badly when assembled. It doesn't fill in as either a decent comedy or as a decent romantic tale, despite the fact that Vishwas Pandya has attempted to include a lot of silliness, the greater part of which crashes and burns on its stomach.

Maniesh and Manjari make zero chemistry as an on-screen couple. Annu Kapoor and Anupam Kher are bombed by a pitifully sewn script. I nearly wished the film was without songs.

'Bromance VS Romance', a refreshing-enjoyable war
27 March 2018
Warning: Spoilers
In our lives, the vast majority of us have faced a circumstance where our closest friend is to get hitched, and we get possessive about him/ her. On account of the new individual in his/her life, our significance diminishes, and we begin feeling awful about it. Be that as it may, imagine a scenario in which you come to realize that your companion is good to get married with the wrong person. What might you do, endeavor to spare your companion from ruining his/her life or let him/her get hitched to the wrong individual?

That is the crux of this movie!

'Manly relationship versus Romance' is most likely a theme that numerous individuals would identify with, and for the individuals who have not yet confronted it, 'sit tight for it'. Luv Ranjan and Rahul Mody have made some astounding circumstances in the film with their writing. But post interval when the real war begins, the movie plunges down a bit. Despite the fact that our sanskari Alok Nath has acted splendidly, his character will unquestionably influence you to scrutinize a considerable measure of things. Gratefully, a couple of minutes after interval, the film keeps you engaged till the end. Luv Ranjan's portrayal is additionally very great and yes, this film is vastly improved than 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' and 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2'.

Discussing actors, Kartik Aaryan is the star of the film. He has acted incredibly. Nushrat Bharucha is great in her part and incidentally, after Priya Prakash Varrier look at her eyebrow moves. There are not very many Bollywood films, where an on-screen character says, 'Main Heroine nahi Villain hu', and we are certain there will be shrieks on this discourse. Bright Singh is decent in his part, however gets eclipsed by Kartik. One more performer from the 'Pyaar Ka Punchana' establishment has a short yet an exceptionally significant part in the film. We are discussing Ishita Raj, she has completely nailed it in her part. An extraordinary specify to Ayesha Raza (Titu's mom), she is really awesome.

Outstanding amongst other factors about the film is the music. In spite of the fact that half of them are the reproduced renditions, they are engaging.

By and large, 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety' is a charming flick that will definitely influence you to feel invigorated after you watch it.

Hichki (2018)

Rani's seamless comeback!
27 March 2018
'Hichki' marks the comeback of one of the finest actors we have in Bollywood, Rani Mukerji. 'Hichki' has two subjects as its fundamental plot - Tourette Syndrome and the imbalance in our education framework. Siddharth P Malhotra completes a great job by gelling these two things. He exceptionally well clarifies what Tourette Syndrome is, however the hichki in the film is that at a few spots when the film takes a decent force, the following scene just levels.

The greatest take away is that 'there are no terrible students, just awful teachers'. I am certain that each individual watching this film will backpedal to his or her school days, and will in any event once recollect their educators, particularly the most loved instructor (we as a whole had one). There are not many movies that make your eyes soggy yet with a grin on the face and that is the thing that 'Hichki' does.

Rani plays an extremely complex character and she nails it. Watch out for her tics in the film which will influence you to state 'wah' for her execution. Neeraj Kabi's character may be somewhat disillusioning as his despise towards the underprivileged children isn't clarified well, yet the actor's execution is first rate. The movie has a heap of exceptionally capable children, every single one has completed a fabulous activity, an extraordinary specify to Harsh Mayar and Sparsh Khanchandani. The film likewise stars Sachin Pilgaonkar, Supriya Pilgaonkar and Hussain Dalal, and they are great in their parts.

To sum it up, 'Hichki' is a sweet, straightforward and a reviving film with Rani Mukerji!

Pari (I) (2018)
6/10
Alternate Horror flick
27 March 2018
Horror in Hindi silver screen throughout the years has differed assumptions appended to it, the most unmistakable ones being awful prosthetic cosmetics combined with creaky entryway commotions. In this way, for once, you could gladly rest those presumptions in light of the fact that Anushka Sharma's 'Pari' stands apart on those checks.

As much as I preferred Parambrata's quiet demonstration, his adoration intrigue Piyali played by Ritabhari Chakraborty was similarly great. Notwithstanding, Anushka Sharma plainly takes the cake here. As though her persona in the screamers wasn't sufficient, her appalling demonstration in the film is class apart.

No additional cosmetics, no adjustments in confront, yet the on-screen character figures out how to send chills down your spine with her easily terrifying execution. Add to it, the background score which gives an extra spooky impact at the correct minutes. Another execution that merits specify is conveyed via prepared performing artist Rajat Kapoor who plays an entrancing exorcist to flawlessness.

While the film succeeds to terrify you and keep you on the edge of your seat, its brutal treatment with dark setting makes it an awkward watch in significant parts. A few scenes of expulsion are irritating deeply. Additionally, an undesirable love edge with an anticipated end is a slight setback. In any case, in case you're hoping to go in for an alternate sort of horror flick, this one's justified regardless of your opportunity.

Emotional & Entertaining
21 February 2018
From the trailer and the songs 'Secret Superstar' might just look like a story of a girl who has a dream to become a singer. But, the movie has more to offer than just that.

However, there are only a few things that could have been better. In the first half the movie takes the momentum up but then after a few sequences, it falls flat. The first half surely required a tighter screenplay. Even the runtime could have been shorter as there are a couple of sequences that were not much required and could have been edited out. While we get emotional at the end of the film, the 'Sexy Baliye' track at the end credits spoils the take away feel. We wish the makers could have got away with it.

Zaira Wasim has done full justice to the role and we think she should be ready to take awards home once again. Meher Vij known for her small role in 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' (Munni's mother) is simply outstanding as Najma. She has essayed the role of a helpless mother torn between her daughter's dreams and her conservative husband to the tee. Raj Arjun is so good as Insia's father that you will start hating him once you leave the theatres. Special mention to Kabir Sajid (Insia's brother) and Tirth Sharma (Insia's friend), they are very good in their respective parts. Now let's talk about Aamir Khan. He once again proves that he can carry any role given to him. As Shakti Kumaar, Aamir will leave you in splits. Because this film is about Zaira Wasim we are not going to talk much about Aamir and let Zaira get all the spotlight.

Overall, 'Secret Superstar' is an emotional yet an entertaining film. A must watch!

Newton (2017)

Uncanny and Brilliant, A must watch for every urban Indian out there
21 February 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I think a one-man army is always underestimated. One woman cooking for a hundred men. One old, fragile security guard protecting a house. One child planting a tree. One blind man crossing the road on his own. It takes just one to arise, to make a change. If not for the Newtons who care for nothing but the truth, how would this messed-up world still sustain?

Rajkummar Rao's latest outing was like living 1 hour and 46 minutes of an extremely uncomfortable truth. Or may be we are over simplifying what the film was trying to convey. After all, what would we, the privileged urban population, know of places and people, devastated from all ends?

Rajkummar, who plays the titular role, wears his name like a symbol. He is this young government officer with truckloads of values and ethics. Hence, when he is sent to a remote election booth in Chhattisgarh as a presiding officer, he almost dreams he has been trusted with retaining democracy. Not to forget, the film is set on a backdrop of a severely disturbed, naxalite-influenced geographical arena wherein the people are torn between external threats and untrue, politically fickle administration. Newton, as he explores more of a world unbelievably ransacked, is sent through shockwaves at the sight of those burnt and broken houses, devoid of smallest prosperity and happiness. Reality brings him down to the true democracy we boast of; the democracy that probably exists nowhere beyond those 24 inches of a television box. Accompanied by teammates Malko (Anjali Patil), a local tribal woman and also a teacher, and a reluctant Loknath (Raghubir Yadav), he still begins the voting process inside a half-broken, abandoned school building.

And then begins the true exposure. What was initially looking like a crisis Newton would have to bear alone, becomes a twofold story. Since the beginning, we are introduced to Aatma Singh (Pankaj Tripathi), the assistant commander, in charge of Newton and his team's security. A man of forty and also a man who has earlier managed elections at places like North East and Kashmir, Aatma Singh knows it all. He knows the farce that often occurs in the name of election. And he also knows, the very system that assigns him the duty to safeguard democracy, is failing him in more than one ways. Pankaj Tripathi perfectly essays a character with his own crisis who likes to keep it underneath. A man on a mission with a small weapon, Aatma Singh is constantly trying to wake Newton up to reality. It happens, but not very comfortably.

If you ask us what impacted us more than the actors, we'd say, the people. As we sat through and stared at those scattered, clueless, blank eyes wondering what a mere EVM machine could do for them, none of them looked like actors. They were far too real and far too honest to be anything less than truth, and just truth. Aren't those the faces that often flash on our TV screens; washed with tears, slapped with tragedies? From UP, Bengal, Assam? From Kashmir, Karnataka, Uttarakhand? Failed by justice, religion, democracy? Failed by us, at large? But well, may be we are just carried away.

Rajkummar Rao looks unstoppable. He has mastered every little posture of a man in an ethical crisis. In one of the sequences, an enraged Rajkummar picks up a gun and screams at the top of his voice as he safeguards four 'genuine' voters. Why did I find so many of us in his wrinkles and his sweat-drops?

Anjali Patil plays a local teacher; a young, educated, tribal woman who might not buy the idea of violence caused by naxalites but relates to every bit of exploitation that has led tribals to how perturbed they are today. She is subdued, expressive and acts well. So is Raghubir Yadav.

The production was well taken care of. Since the beginning, you spot major usage of ambient sounds, instead of fabricated music. That just helps the tension build up. Mostly shot at real locations, it features decent work by Swapnil Sonawane.

'Newton' isn't a pleasant watch. Neither is it relaxing on your nerves. It is just a piece of truth shoved on your face with a great dose of dark humour. Watch it for its honesty, and the fine performances.

Just good acting can't save a movie
20 February 2018
'Kuldip Patwal: I Didn't Do It!' actually had ability to be an awesome film, but then the susceptible screenplay and horrific narration makes this movie one of the worst films that we have currently seen. Remy Kohli's directorial is genuinely terrible. whilst watching the film i was actually thinking the fact that what was the intention to make this movie because at a point you may sense it's trying to show how changes inside the system impacts the common man, however then the perplexing narration takes the movie to a totally different tangent. The only top factor about the film are the performances. Gulshan Devaiah is definitely notable in the film. Deepak Dobriyal is likewise quite appropriate, and Parvin Dabas leaves a mark. talking about actresses Priyanka Setia and Raima Sen, each are in reality awful. The latter looked like she is forcefully doing the film and became totally disinterested.

Khichdi of plots and scenes
20 February 2018
I failed to understand the whole movie, leave alone the ending. Neeraj Pandey was a disappointment this time around. Too many meaningless sub plots and too many non linear scenes makes the movie a khichdi of sorts with a sour taste. Manoj Bajpayee is the only standout in this muddled up, almost three hours long thriller. Sidharth Malhotra is decent while Rakul Preet Singh is fairly okay. Pooja Chopra is barely seen whereas all senior bunch of actors like Anupam Kher (https://www.bollywoodbubble.com/celebrity/anupam-kher/), Naseeruddin Shah, Kumud Mishra and Adil Hussain are utterly wasted with no clear character sketches drawn.

Sanju should be jailed for doing this movie
12 February 2018
Despite being a die hard fan of Sanju Baba, this is easily the worst movie of his career. Yes, the string of flops he gave in the 80s were way better than this one. My heart broke when I heard news of him being sent to jail. But after watching this movie, I guess he should be jailed just for doing this!

Bhansali's Magnum Opus!
12 February 2018
As a story-teller, Bhansali has excelled quite nicely, but, the tad long runtime of the movie gets a chunk tedious in entirety. In a world with much less scope for persistence, you definitely want a great quantity of time in hand to silently watch this visual spectacle unfold. On a very last note, there may be not anything controversial that might irk all of us claiming distortion of any form. So, this must really be on every body's watchlist and preferably in 3-D for a better revel in.

whilst it's tough to imagine Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone as a pair, the duo make for a lovely pair as Rawal Ratan Singh and Rani Padmavati. Anupriya Goenka as Rani Nagmati makes a mark together with her constrained overall performance. Aditi Rao Hydari as Mehrunissa, Khilji's spouse is beautiful and Jim Sarbh as his effeminate slave is extraordinary. Raza Murad in a small yet pivotal role leaves you spellbound with his appearance. It's not simply the performances that make 'Padmaavat' a worthwhile experience, but the beauty of its frames. each scene leaves you wonderstruck for the sheer beauty and finesse of the camera paintings, the manufacturing design and the historical past score. The song 'Ghoomar' is stunning to the eyes, whilst 'Khalibali' will depart you awestruck because of Ranveer's amazing act. certainly, the man will win you over with his wickedness.

In spite of the several controversies, 'Padmaavat' upholds his pride right until the end, staying real to Rajput subculture and emerges to strike the right chord.

Pad Man (2018)

Two Extra stars just for the bravery to make such a film!
12 February 2018
Even before I start analysing 'PadMan' as a movie, I assume films like these have to be lauded simply because they're being made. That actors and filmmakers are using cinema as a tool to strike conversations, tickle thoughts and lift debates, itself is a alleviation; especially in a country of over one hundred crores with numerous problems, most of them neither spoken nor understood.

PadMan' is purely a sworn statement of a man's adventure from not anything to contentment; totally banking upon on his very own desires of bringing about fantastic modifications and supporting them sustain. if you ignore a few exaggerations (and i worry I don't have takers for pronouncing this), it is an inspiring film and will create advantageous affects. Decently shot by p.c. Sreeram and rightly complemented with soundtracks composed by Amit Trivedi, it features great performances from each Radhika Apte and Akshay Kumar; and not to forget about, a fluent Sonam Kapoor in a brief yet pivotal role.

Watch 'PadMan' to encourage greater movies that communicate about actual troubles; more real than fairytale love stories. Even the real love stories are examined with terrible times, remember? Like that of Lakshmikant and Gayatri.

A Fitting Finale to the most talented actor!
12 February 2018
Most critical praise will primarily go to Day-Lewis, and rightly so. He covers Reynolds with a veil of precision, that is slowly removed to expose the storm of feelings internal. he's, but, met with two similarly noticeably performances in his leading women. Krieps is the heart of the film, slowly recoiling at the realisation that her surprisingly simple wishes will now not be met. instead of slink into the background, she makes Alma more potent, more calculating than the people around her anticipate. She's much less showy than Day-Lewis, however no much less critical to the tale. On the other aspect of the fence is Manville, in a performance that screams Oscar. The veteran actor, regarded for her paintings with Mike Leigh, glides via the movie, controlling the action with a look and reducing down each co-superstar with a easy statement. She represents the world Reynolds has created to preserve him secure, and steals each scene she's in.

Written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, Phantom Thread is a definitive return to the identical superb form that marked his final collaboration with Day-Lewis, There will be Blood. Anderson has always been a compelling and difficult filmmaker, but he has additionally been ploughing a clinically cryptic area inside the past decade with head-scratchers which includes The master and Inherent Vice. whilst Phantom Thread is a extra trustworthy film from Anderson than his devoted following has become conversant in, his gift behind the camera is all the better for it.

Wise, fierce and unforgettable, Anderson could not have crafted a better farewell for one of cinema's most charming talents. at the age of just forty seven, it can easily be argued that his best remains yet to come. perhaps it will likely be some thing that can set off Daniel Day-Lewis to rethink his untimely retirement.

Story line is intriguing but does manage to catch the attention of the viewer ,background score manages to set the right environment, but the soundtrack is okayish. There are a few good scenes in the movie that will remain with you long after you leave the cinema hall. On the whole it does come up to the measurement of the hype generated by the promos of the movie.

Its a one time watch movie.

Amazing!
30 January 2018
The casting director has done a great job of picking the ideal performing artists for every part whether it is Swara Bhaskara or Ayyub. The cinematography is amazing as it brings alive the temples of Benaras and the dusty backstreets. A R Rahman's heartfelt music adds life to the movie, his deep tracks like Tum Tak ,Tu Mun shudi,Piya Milenge are music to the ears. The dialogues are persuading and make the characters receptive. Anand L Rai's bearing and the storyline holds the watcher to his seat. The first half is fascinating than the second half. With everything taken into account, the movie ought to be seen for Dhanush and Sonam.

Youthful exuberance!
30 January 2018
The Start of the motion picture is fortifying however it backs off amidst the second half, nevertheless the strings tie up exceptionally well at last and is certain to abandon you with a grin all over. Ranbir Kapoor is the work of art who figures out how to be not just maddeningly endearing, but loaded with that pizzazz . He entrances you with his look that make his character Bunny so adorable. Post Cocktail, Deepika makes her character unmistakable, mixing sympathy, sexiness with prosper. Aditya is the dim steed who gives a fine proof of his ability .Kalki resembles a tornado of ability that unfurls bit by bit as she stands her ground in spite of the nearness of Ranbir and Deepika. Farooq Shaikh, as Ranbir's dad, is just exceptional. Rana Daggubati shimmers in his cameo.

YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI is adorned with a young score by Pritam like 'Badtameez Dil', 'Balam Pichkari' and 'Ghagra' that are high-on-vitality influences you to have a craving for moving along and have just hit the fame graphs. 'Kabira' overflows a meloncholy song . The movement of 'Badtameez Dil' is super with Ranbir rotating to the tunes with amuse. Madhuri's quality in the 'Ghagra' track includes belief as well. In general, YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI is a fabulous interpretation of sentiment and connections. this one should evoke genuine emotion with not only the young, but rather motion picture watchers of all age-gatherings. Its a motion picture not to be missed .

Has its moments of density among abruptions
30 January 2018
Before I begin examining, 'My Birthday Song' had the elements of ending up far beyond what it is. It is an actually solid film with a possibly capable story. Samir Soni, who can't escape glitches all over, concocted a nice first endeavor. At a certain point, the tension gets thick, and we begin thinking about whether the characters we are seeing are at all there, or are dreamlike. In any case, surrealism is the place it turns out badly also.

Since the film significantly banks upon its occasions and not the quantity of characters, it is for the most part carried on Sanjay Suri.

Excepting that, 'My Birthday Song' has its snapshots of true to life aptitude. Sanjay Suri is an enjoyment to watch and Nora Fatehi is OK in her shoes. Australian lovely lady Zenia Starr ventures into Bollywood with this one, and will likely remain here. I also like how the director's approach is to move the watchers with nuance. Also, I concede, it carries end with a climax I had never at any point envisioned.

Makes an unfinished love story look beautiful
30 January 2018
Not once was I be able to take my eyes off Ayushmann and Parineeti's love condition. These two have figured out how to gel up so well that the little alcoves of their connections wake up. Ayushmann, as the 'no-tantrums' guy hopelessly in love who is later stuck in being a wordsmith, does wonders. 'Meri Pyaari Bindu' will certainly be considered one of Parineeti's best performances ever, no questions asked. Next ones to steal the show are Ayushmann's parents played by Rajatava Dutta and Aparajita Adhya.

Suprotim Sengupta's screenplay comes around as the following Mantra of achievement. It is affectionate, yet not choking. It gives you enough space to enjoy what's occurring, however you don't lose your direction halfway. Akshay Roy's directorial introduction will doubtlessly talk for his aptitudes of narrating. Roy has, before, helped somebody as flexible as Farhan Akhtar and furthermore somebody as veteran as Mira Nair. He is somebody you got the opportunity to pay special mind to. The sun-lit visuals must be a result of him picturing them for a considerable length of time! And afterward, we adored how the film grasps each misfortune with a sentiment satisfaction.

Sachin-Jigar's music includes only the correct state of mind; from the beginning sentiments of calf love to the distress of seperation and each other little curve that offers a space. Tushar Kanti Roy's cinematography focuses on catching the important minutes and not simply insignificant visuals; which makes everything the more successful.

A horror in film making!
29 January 2018
The horror scenes are constrained and unsurprising and even inspire chuckling numerous times. You realize that something spooky anticipates you in the following scene and you're altogether prepared for it and more than getting frightened, it influences you to roar with laughter. The boisterous and spooky ambient melodies on consistently scene simply doesn't help the monstrously exhausting plot which tries its level best to drive you away from your seats.

We've seen emotions in different movies, however when the lead performing artists break into a song after every few scenes, that is what really frightens you.

What's more, to add to all the desolation, the end of the movie will leave you wincing intensely in light of the fact that you wouldn't generally realize what simply happened.

Beauty & the Beast combat the system!
29 January 2018
Kashyap's works are past an amalgamation of content and execution. The visuals inhale and the music heightens the story. 'Mukkabaaz' is no special case. Shankar Ramen includes his own narrating through each casing. Be that as it may, the two individuals who add life to the story are Vineet and Zoya. Zoya is a genuine disclosure while Vineet will snatch progressively and substantial stuff now forward.

Furthermore, Jimmy Sheirgill! Isko Ladki Kabhi Nahi Milti, we joked So happy he at last does films that do equity to his capacity! Next, a major shoutout to Ravi Kishan for being the quelled but then brave mentor that he was.

The start of the film resembles a TV serial, the second half is loaded with a ton of close-ups of Julie (everything except her face is focused), two most unusual tracks, some kissing scenes all over, a few scenes that look as though they are poor imitations of from 'Heroine' and 'The Dirty Picture', some religious exchanges, an exhausting climax, and the end (Phew! At last the film gets over).
