Red Notice (2021)
Everything about this is tremendously generic
Don't give this movie more views please. Vote with your wallet that you deserve more passionate, personal stories than these soul-less, formulaic turds.
If you are thinking of watching this, don't. You are not gonna be getting anything special and memorable out of it.
Festen (1998)
My god.
My god, my god, my god, MY GOD.
This is a wild, wild ride of a movie. I did not see that coming at all.
Silicon Valley: Optimal Tip-To-Tip Efficiency (2014)
It's good but... Really? This is the funniest this show can get?
Not to say the show it's bad. Just expected more and it must definitely not be for me if I am not going crazy over its best rated episode. Oh well.
Das Leben der Anderen (2006)
Could have a 9/10
But they took the easy way out with Christa-Maria at the end.
Groundhog Day (1993)
The director's fantasy
The movie gets entertaining quick. It's kind of cynic comedy gets to you and is all well the majority of the time. Although the end does play out like this has been a long time fantasy from the director.
Could have been a 9 but its ending felt like, I dunno, unearned? This guy gets to be a creepy dick for 80% of the movie, then suddenly maxes-out his capabilities at everything, of course, and gets the girl. Yep. The more I think about it, the less I want to rate this, but it was a fun time regardless, so here this goes.
Louie: Bully (2010)
Mature
Not one word more, not one word less. This episode felt: mature.
Knives Out (2019)
The plot is contrived as hell
You can just tell from the second half of this film Rian Johnson is the kind of guy you would HATE anyone uncovering his mistery so he can shove us how "clever" he is, and in order to do so while subverting our every expectation of the whodunit genre he bended my suspension of disbelief so hard it broke into little pieces, like my initial enjoyment. The plot is so overly contrived it REEKS of tryhard.
The point of a mystery is to be solved or at least attempted to be solved. It makes the viewer interact all the more with the movie. This is possible when the clues are not too much for it to be too obvious or too scarse to be impossible. Then he goes to foreshadow the guilty person but nope!, guess what, that mystery is already solved within half an hour and, wait a minute, another mystery is rising!, wait, now?, yes, and it's impossible to solve but hey, good detective that seemed useless 90% of the movie turned out to know everything from the start, well how good is that.......
This is anything but a whodunit. I felt cheated. 6/10
