The Last Tycoon (2016–2017)

Iconic in its own right - Ended Too Soon
29 June 2024
Excellent cast and lots of twist and turns to make this a great watch. Wish I would have known it was an unfinished series awith no more to come. However, it is true to the unfinished novel by the author. Still worth the watch, Kelsey Grammar did an amazing job in this role, portraying the brutality of Hollywood. The ending was decent, with some conclusions for the viewer to assume for each character. We end up binge watching the entire first season within a weeks time and really enjoyed all the show brought to the table. I can see that streaming will bring to light how much of a hit this was.

The Audrey Hepburn Story (2000 TV Movie)
8/10
Very Good Movie- She's Not Audrey but that's not the goal here
23 December 2022
So many critics but at end of the day, I think Jennifer did an amazing job at 19 to play this legendary icon. I have never watched any if Hepburn movies but maybe this helps not too be so bias as I focus on the acting and storyline. I now.am interested in watching a few of Audrey movies. Thanks to writers and actors in showing the world a sneak peek of the world of Audrey Hepburn. She was so classy and yet like every actress had something missing even when she had the whole worlds attention.

People always have so much expectations from actors to be the celebrity and will be so critical because they don't look exactly like the icon or accuse of trying to be them...smh, they are doing a job.

Loved this movie

Warning: Spoilers
I binge watched this series...it had me wondering through the whole show with all its twist and turns but doesn't disappoint and may change your own internal perspective. Only thing I'd change is at least adding one more season to tie in the ending on what occurred with the big what seemed a cliffhanger. Daniel was odd but made a lot of sense!

Very Diverse Comedy
22 November 2020
At first we thought it was another teen flick but it has so many different story lines and characters, great acting. We end up binge watching this and when we got to episode ten, we were anxious for another one as many cliffhanger ending. Hopefully the streaming of this show will be a green light indicator to the film makers to produce a few more seasons, or at least one more.

Thought Provoking

I binge watched this with an open mind, I liked the acting and symbolism used throughout the narrative. It's hard to tell which direction to take on if he's a prophet or not and can see how it would relate to the world we live in. Looking forward to season two

Only Love (1998 TV Movie)
6/10
Tragic Love Story
7 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This story left me feeling sorry for Morrow, it was more of holding on to something that he should of let of along time ago ...both he and Silvio held on to not only love that was unfinished but forgiveness that didn't allow them to both truly move on. He was somewhat resentful and for good reason, she put him in a bad position because he was to accept her decision that she did out of cultural honor and because he was spared his life, which is almost like he died that day anyway. They both seemed to just settle in the end...although Evie got the worst of it because she knew the whole story and was genuinely a great spirit. She knew That he never married or had kids because he always had our true love,,,,at least Sylvie husband thought she ran back to him and assumed he was the great love...Evie knew she was a best friend but will always know...and the way it ended is like they may not be together more than just out of not being alone which is tragedy in itself, at least for Evie as a woman...I'd feel like I settled 😞

Deadwood: The Movie (2019 TV Movie)

Good Reunion But Lacking
12 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Getting all the original actors together is wonderful; however, they should have made the loose ends better with the characters we had come accustomed to, especially when they leave Hearst in the jail cell in the end... The series depicted poetic dialougue and is what got me hooked to the show. The movie just seemed rushed and not enough action like what I'd come to expect from the episodes from the past that never let us down.

I'd say this was okay, it was nice to see them all together and how they had progressed in life but still feel like it was not as exciting as the seasons past. It didn't give me a "wow" factor and it's ashamed because they had the whole cast together. The Finale was just generic when this film deserved to be spectacular...Al's character should have went out in a brim of glory with his original personality in the spotlight making all of us cheering him on. He just seemed like a defeated man (by Heart's presence) and I get that he was dying but the Al we were used to seeing would of had his last say... This is just my opinion, as well as my husband's as we waited patiently for the release of this movie.

In summary, our overall view of the movie was like when there are a lot of episodes in a season and there is just that one that is full of fluff and horrible >>>well, this was it! But the sad thing is that this was it....13 years later with just one shot!!
