Doctor Who: The Timeless Children (2020)
Started good, ended in disaster.
The implications are far too much here.. this simply is not canon.
Chibnal didn't even try to follow lore.
Like what was That? Has he watched the series?
How did river gain the ability to regenerate? Due to long exposure to the time vortex? Because that's how it was previously stated time lords gained regeneration. But nope, it was an experiment.
Why did past versions of the doctor go by the name doctor before the hartnel doctor chose it? Same goes with having a police box as a tardis.. they shouldn't have that yet.
I could go on and on about how lazy this was executed.
Judging it as just an episode, it started pretty good, I was into the plot and felt entertained. But they dropped the ball fast, by the 20 minute mark it just began devolving into nonsense. Also the master was fantastic except for the last 10 minutes.
Doctor Who: Orphan 55 (2020)
I couldn't stop laughing XD
I smoked prior to watching this episode because I can't get through these current episodes while sober.
Anyway, I had the time of my life laughing at how nonsensical everything was. I literally couldn't stop laughing.
This was bad in the same way spiders in Sheffield was. So bad I can't stop laughing XD
The editing where the kid gets mad at his dad and storms off, cuts to the doctor talking for a solid minute then back to the kid storming off was hilarious. XD like what even happened there? this was so poorly made I love it XD
I'd personally take terribly funny episodes like this over stale ones like ghost monument.
This was pure gold.
2/10
Doctor Who: Demons of the Punjab (2018)
best episode of the season so far
I'm not saying it was good, but at least it was a complete story.
Doctor Who: The Ghost Monument (2018)
I Miss Moffat Already
Love or hate Moffat, He can actually makes you feel something with his writing. compare these first two episodes with both Smith and capaldi's first two episodes, they're both very different, but throughout they at least evoke some kind of emotion, they make me feel something. Sad, happy, scared.. Just like RTD did. There hasn't been a single first two episodes of any season of who that were void of any emotion til now and that makes me sad.
I also miss the creativity of Moffat and RTD. oh well... People will praise this show because its visually nicer looking.. But there is far more important things than what cameras they use.
