Hideout (2021)
Do you believe in the devil?
If you thought the trailer was good you need to watch the film. It's an exceptional thriller movie don't get me wrong but the editing seemed rush. They could have cut out lots of parts and it would be so much better. Having said that it's one of the best thriller movies of 2021 but I expected a lot better in terms of the editing and a less rushed film.
Flytrap (2015)
Good storyline
Seriously well done. A unique and original script with good editing and acting. Well worth a watch.!
The Wrong Missy (2020)
So funny
I think this should be at least a 7. I though it was so funny, had some great comedy bits and the ending was fun and cute. Watch it if your stuck at home
Chameleon (2019)
Plenty of potential
Firstly congrats to the director and team for pulling this off. It's a micro-budget film and I'm surprised as to how high of a quality film that were able to make on a shoe string budget. Secondly, yes there are spotty parts in the film but I loved the storyline and the acting. If you can get past some parts it's not that bad at all, it's a flick worth watching. Peace
Spy Intervention (2020)
Good Laughs from this
Seen it with some friends and yes at times it gets lost but in all it's mad funny and they had some hilarious moments in there we couldn't stop laughing. A movie you'd watch for fun
The Village in the Woods (2019)
A real thriller
Don't expect a fast-paced film. The story builds to something big so be warned. In all the characters were great but the cinematography and story was was what sold me. Supenseful for sure. Nice job
Clinton Road (2019)
Gave me the chills
I've been there before so I had to watch this. Solid cast, I thought the acting was good despite many bad reviews on here I think the film should be rated a little better at least a 7.
Excursion (2018)
Good movie
80's vibe all over!! A clever take on time travel. I personally loved it
Tabernacle 101 (2019)
A super-thriller
Loved the movie! Don't worry about the haters! A well put together aussie sci-fi style film. Great ending and the acting is good.
In This Gray Place (2018)
How to make an indie film
There's some great thing about this film, some bad things, and a ton in-between. Let's talk the technical execution first. The movie has powerful music, great camera work, the editing is top notch and actually brings a lot of personality, and I'm even going to say the premise is pretty cool, especially the twist at the end.
I'm not a big fan of the poetic stuff. Feels kinda forced. But I do like how the idea of destiny keeps popping up. As if destiny is something inevitable, just like it's inevitable how the movie is going to end. There really isn't any other way out.
Another thing. It's a standoff movie. He shoots at the cops so I understand they wouldn't go in guns blazing, but after the tear gas it would be all over. I understand most people thinks cops just shoot to kill when in fact they would want to breach safely hence the negotiator, but c'mon! 1 tear gas can and the whole thing would be done.
Overall the idea of having a single location movie is pretty tough. You get a sense of claustrophobia for sure, but after a while it does start to get old. The acting was pretty spot on throughout but there were a few rough patches here and there. The director uses flashbacks to keep us interested which mostly works but from time to time it can also feel monotonous. For being a no budget independent film I think there's a lot here to be applauded. There are a couple of really amazing scenes but they are scattered too thin in my good. Solid effort for a indie movie.
