Another Life (2019)
Good fun mindbender.
You either like sci-fi or you don't. This is pretty good and doesn't waste too much time on characters back stories which these days is a refreshing change.
My only real problem with the programme is Justin Chatwin, one wierd looking dude and a dreadful actor.
Otherwise the cast is pretty good.
The Orville (2017)
This is not a joke.
Is this supposed to be a comedy? I'm four episodes in and the funniest thing I've seen was a clip from Scrubs, one of the least amusing shows in history.
If its not supposed to be funny then okay, as an odd sci-fi program its watchable if slow moving.
The Strain (2014)
So so vampiro
As vampire nonsense goes this isn't bad but unfortunately falls in line with the current fad for not telling a story in chronological order. Instead the preference is to jump back and forth through time.
Personally I hate this approach so couple that with the odd need to flesh out the characters with flashbacks and I probably skipped close to a third of the entire 'story'.
Fear Street: 1994 (2021)
Not terrible.
An entertaining series of movies with a lot of nods to classic horror of years past.
Something of a shame that the lead role was given to such an unattractive lass though as I found her a distraction.
Inspektor Falke (2018)
Das beste.
Great TV even for those of us without much German and relying on subtitles.
Falke is a character showing his humanity in a realistic fashion unlike so many these days.
He oft displays the confusion that many of us feel with the bizarre world we now inhabit.
The crime solving and plots are sehr gut also.
Thunder Force (2021)
Thunder Thighs?
Dreadful plot, cast etc. Only gets two stars for the comedy potential in the title.
The Irregulars (2021)
History is cancelled.
Just awful. Take a story set in historic London and then forget most of that history and instead create a new version that fits better with the new 'ideal'.
Brainwashing for children and suggestibles.
Adolf Hitler: The Greatest Story Never Told (2013)
Eye opening and without bias.
A surprising film. I watched this expecting a complete exoneration of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi regime. That is not what I found.
Instead this film gives a view on events that while explaining many of Germany's actions does so in an unbiased fashion.
I can see why some might find thia a disturbing film as it shows the mistreatment of Germany and her people between the wars.
Watch and be enlightened.
Thank you very much Mr Wise.
