Shiddat (2021)
A classic Bollywood romance
For those who remember times by songs and movies, this one is to take you 15 years back. This is story of senseless romance that we now hardly get to watch. This is a gift from Bollywoods past!
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022)
Saved by actors and writers
Although the movie is average on dialogue writing and editing, story never let's you off the hook. There was so much on display with acting and was so much more available to be exploited that went untapped. Fortunately, the storytelling dominated theatrics of pulling in the crowd and made it a good package overall.
Badhaai Do (2022)
Rajkumar gets us through!
Starts well, runs on Rajkumars shoulders and still doesn't get anywhere. Rao is eye candy and rest is sort of a dragged narrative with no clear intention. In the end, this has too much to say in too little time with too many social - cause actors.
Jhund (2022)
Raw, intense and fearless!
Another nagraj masterpiece! When you keep the narrative as real as nagraj does, there is enough for everyone to cherish - be it a film critic, an admirer of the stories or a social animal. This actually is the film to watch after the lock-down in theaters. This is the national film for India, 2022.
Gehraiyaan (2022)
Felt like Sunday evening!
If you try your best to understand the character, you get depressed - not because of the tragic background but the unrelated storyline to support the story. Deepika has tried her bit to pull something off here but that's barely anything to hold the movie together. If you're too bored being happy, watch the movie to feel the other state of mind!
Zombivli (2022)
A near perfect zom-com
Narrative is similar to the Zombieland in the way it brings unrelated characters together. The resemblance could be because very few zombie-comedies. Ending was a little too sweet and the behavioural aspects of zombies at times go unaddressed and haven't got deserved closure. Having said that, it's a fun ride all the way through and with so much expectations, the film doesn't disappoint and keeps hitting hard. Nice to know that marathi films can be right up there with the best amongst the world cinema.
Atrangi Re (2021)
Sara will surprise you!
If you've seen Sara's earlier movies, wait to watch this one before writting her off. Felt she out-acted dhanush in given context. This one is for pastime if you're browsing for a film and a must watch for rich music and emergence of sara.
House of Secrets: The Burari Deaths (2021)
Well sold, Netflix!
Though the initial tone of the narrative is extravagant, the story finally manages to settle in to some sort of scientific rationale of the available information regarding the incident. Liked the intent and got to say, presented nicely. However, Netflix has somehow found a way to paint this with their interest which is becoming a very apparent trend in their recent "documentaries". Having said it all, in the most genuine of tones, would say - well sold, Netflix!
The Family Man (2019)
Only for Bajpai fans
You need something really strong to stay with the series. For me it's Manoj Bajpai. If you're not a fan of this actor, you're in for really ill portrayed, superficial and exaggerated drama!
