For one reason only. The girlfriend, her acting was so terrible, I literally could not watch it. And also, it's very obvious that the dog is dead and I just cannot. Poor pupper.

It's different than anything I have watched recently and I definitely recommend it. Mom is super creepy and plays her part well, in my opinion. I think the music is phenomenal as well.
Likeable main character. Decent story does the most part. I have very few complaints with this one. It's not edge of your seat horror, but it is...gripping.

JAMES FREAKING WAN that's who.
I am always kept on the edge of my seat during any of the Conjuring or Insidious movies. And I still, to this day, run from my en suite bathroom back to my bed at night, completely sure that Bathsheba is on my tail. I'm 28 years old. The Conjuring was just that scary.
The Conjuring 2 is even better. I have known about the Enfield Haunting for some time and I thought it was a great depiction of the events that happened. I love the inclusion of the nun.
Great acting, even the children. Great story line. Great jumps. Can't wait for chapter 3.

I've said it before, I will say it again. ARI ASTER MAKES TRASH FILMS. why...why do we have to take a film that has promise, a film that could be so good...and take it to a weird place. This is the second but also the last Ari Aster film I will watch. Hereditary had some creep factor but was still, ultimately trash. Why is Aster seemingly so into Occultism? There's a way for this to be successfully done (Rosemary's Baby for example) and this is not it.

This movie is pretty middle of the road for me. It wasn't exceptional, but it wasn't bad by any means. I enjoyed it, actually. When I read the description, I thought "oh goodness, please don't tell me this will have a Jumanji feel..." it does not have that! It's definitely similar in the fact that it's a board game. But that's where the similarities end. The acting is decent, I especially liked Annie's performance. This will be a very creepy movie is you're under 17, but otherwise, it's not much of a spook. Give it a shot, you may like it.

If I had a dime for every single time I whispered "what the hell..." to myself during this film, I would have roughly two dollars in dimes.
This movie is strange to say the least. It's also kind of gross. I may be biased (first trimester pregnant so everything is gross) but when Sarah broke her leg, I almost tossed my cookies.
The acting is quite good. The cinematography is even better. I would recommend this movie if you have the time to dedicate and you really like weird stuff.

It's a great movie. It really is. As the tasks started out, I started to feel anxious. By task 6 I was really anxious. After that, things started to get kind of rough for me. But I powered through. I did not see the end coming, and I dont think you will either. Highly recommend this movie if you like psychological thrillers. Maybe don't watch it if you have a sensitive constitution though.

I have made it a personal goal to watch every horror film on Hulu plus. This is one that I didn't love.
The premise is solid, but executed poorly, in my opinion. The ghost simply wasnt scary enough. The hair seriously creeped me out every time it cropped up....but I think that comes from growing up when The Ring and The Grudge were popular.
Overall, I don't think this movie made a ton of sense. The husband is an absolute idiot. I feel like multiple disappearances of local girls would have been news so how would the police not have checked to see who the dead girl actually was before burying her.
The end really is just bad and very sudden. Like they ran out of ideas and time and just stopped. Super boring in general. And might I add, poor Claire.

Terrible, terrible acting by the lead. She's gorgeous but seriously, not a lick of dramatic talent. The storyline is just bad, not to .enfuon completely predictable. The best part of the whole movie is the relationship between the two sherriffs deputies.

I really enjoyed this film despite the lack of dialogue. The leading actors were good throughout and although I didnt think I would like the whole "alien" concept, I found myself reminded of Stranger Things and was super into it.
The beginning is sad and so is the end-ish with good ol' dad being a good ol' dad. The oldest sibling is super intelligent and I really liked her characters resourcefulness in the end.
Also, worst case scenario having a baby in that situation. Regardless, worth a watch or a couple in my opinion.

I has recently been really into Atypical so when I saw that there was a shared actor in this movie, I was instantly interested in watching it. I was not disappointed in it at all. There's a pretty decent plot twist, very good acting, and a really good over all feel. Man, I recommend watching this one.
