Stellar Season for Thinking People
7 February 2021
This season was solid, and the acting from Pullman and Bomer was stellar. While I enjoy the investigative who-done-it writing as much as anyone else, I appreciated this slow burn that delved into the issues of how people with mental illness can be so vulnerable to those who don't have their best interest at heart. The ending, like many things in real life, don't always make sense and aren't wrapped up with a pretty bow. A person's life doesn't unravel overnight, and I think the writers did a fantastic job of showing the thread being picked and pulled at until the rest unravels all at once.

Exceeded Expectations
12 June 2020
I wasn't sure what to expect going into this, but it really took me pleasantly by surprise. Great casting. Witty dialouge. The story unfolds at a necessary pace. The 1st episode can be kind of confusing, but stick with it and you will quickly be drawn into this beautiful story.

Life Isn't Packaged Up With Pretty Bows

You have to finish the season to truly appreciate this show. Murphy's character is unlikeable at times, but if you don't keep watching, you don't see her character growth or get to know her well enough. Great writing. I actually didn't guess the ending, which pleasantly surprised me. Love the friendship arc with Jess and Felix.

We Need More Movies Like This
25 August 2018
For the audience this movie is intended for, you will find it refreshing, endearing, funny, and well written. The characters are genuine and tug at your heartstrings a bit without seeming overly sappy or cliche. The three actresses who play the sisters are cast well, each bringing something different and genuine to the table and reminds me of my relationships with my own sisters. The whole family can watch this show, but that does not make it trite, boring, or simplistic. To All the Boys I've Loved Before is well written, well acted, and well delivered.

Gorgeous Cinematography!
16 July 2018
We just got done with the first episode, and my husband and I enjoyed it immensely. The cinematography work is stunning, the battle scenes are well choreographed and realistic, and there is some great acting in this show. The story line is shaping up to be an interesting one. There is a lot going on in this first episode, and you may find yourself frustrated at first, trying to figure out the timeline and characters, as there are flash forwards and more than one story line, but it looks at least for now, that they will start merging fairly quickly. I highly recommend this show.

UPDATE: We have moved through the first 5 episodes, and this show just keeps getting better and better!
