BTS World Tour: Love Yourself in Seoul (2018)
simply stunning
Great movie to watch in the cinema. If you're like me and you often watch fancams and recordings from music shows that BTS attend, this movie delivers the same thing AND MORE. The shots were awesome and boys' outfits were beautiful. Audio was clear and as loud as it should be. This movie is great for people who couldn't attend any BTS concerts. It's a shame that it only aired on 1 day because otherwise I would go again. I can only hope they release it on DVD so I can experience it again. ^^
Banana Fish (2018)
great anime
-this part of my review doesn't contain any spoilers-
if you're here you're probably interested in the series anyway so just give it a watch. for me this anime is 10/10, story is very emotional, art is unique and pleasant to watch, animation is great, soundtrack is just perfect and I love how different the characters are. watch. it.
-the rest of this review contains MAJOR spoilers. seriously don't read further if you haven't watched it thanks-
I guess the thing that's mostly disliked about this anime is how repetitive it gets in the middle of the show (a peaceful moment (usually short) -> Eiji gets kidnapped -> Ash goes and sacrifices himself -> Eiji/gang/Max save Ash -> repeat) But what people don't get is how different Ash is every time this cycle continues. He gets way more scared and the last time something like this happens he panics so much that people he works with are confused. It also shows how close he gets to Eiji throughout the series. I feel like this series has a lot of deep undertones that I would love to discuss but it's supposed to be a review so I won't go into that lol.
The only thing that disappointed me about this anime is the last 5-6 minutes of the ending episode. You're telling me Ash survived child trafficking, so many sexual assaults and life-threatening situations just to be killed by Lao? He wasn't suicidal so why didn't he even try to survive? Why didn't anyone in the library notice him? And Eiji goes to Japan even though he knows how unstable Ash is, even though he promised to stay with him forever.. There are rumours that Ash may have survived that so let's hope for the best.
Alex Strangelove (2018)
Why is the rating so low?
I absolutely love the characters. And the humor. And the plot (even though it felt kind of rushed). Honestly, this is one of the funniest movies I watched and as someone who still struggles with my own sexuality, Alex's behaviour is kind of relatable. I think most straight adults will find this move childish and basic but they just don't understand how charming such movie can be to a queer audience. I loved it and hope for more movies like this in the future.
Time Squad (2001)
I love it so much.
Even though Cartoon Network has always been a well known kids' channel in my country, I've never heard anyone mention this particular cartoon. Having been born in '02 I couldn't really watch it when it aired but by some miracle I discovered it 15 years after it ended. The idea of a time travelling dysfunctional family sounds pretty damn stupid but this show managed to make it into a solid and quirky show that is "Time Squad". I love the dynamic between Tuddrussel and Larry, how Otto is more mature than both of them even though he is still a child. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but I think this is the first cartoon to portray a family consisting of 2 dads and an adopted son. I love how every character has their strong and weak points, their differences and similarities and how well they fit as a family.
In conclusion, this show is random, charmingly stupid at times but on the other hand it's got some sweet moments as well. Although it revolves around history it's not very educational and I highly encourage everyone to watch it, regardless of age.
